mental power +20: hide effects from victim

You use Mind Control on a target, and you try to get +20 to hide effects from the victim. The first attack doesn’t do enough effect. The target notices the attack. You attack again and the second attack does enough effect. Does the target forget both the successful attack and the failed attack, or just the successful attack?

Just the successful attack — unless, of course, the command for the second attack is “Forget the first attack.” It’s unlikely that command will last forever, of course, but it should cover the character’s tracks for a little while, at least.
