If a character has a MP or VPP framework containing Missile deflection, can he abort to that power if he has not previously 'set' missile deflect as a currently active slot?
Eg
MP: Energy Blast
Slot 1: EB
Slot 2: Ranged missile deflect
Assuming that the character is speed 4, and fires the EB on segment 3, can he, as of segment 4, abort to the missile deflect slot?
I appreciate that you can abort to more than one thing at once, but I understood that this was, in effect, simultaneous aborting: the problem with the MP abort is that it requires sequential actions: re-assign slot (not, technically, a defensive action) followed by activate missile deflect.
If the answer is 'you can do that', would it make any difference if the framework was a VPP (or limited MP) that could not be shifted as a zero phase action?
