Shroud Knife (Spell build)

Hi.

Okay, here's the spell I'm trying to build. I'm kinda drawing a blank on the general effect, and I'm gunning for simplicity here, so any advice is appreciated.

The spellcaster waves their hand over the blade of a knife they're using (gestures, OAF: Knife) and it takes on a black, smoking appearance. The next strike with that weapon - hit or miss - discharges the energy into whatever it strikes. The effect is a chilling cold that burns people of Godly or Holy intent. In other words, it hurts "good" people, but has no effect on evil ones. That's a subjective term, sure, but I'm hoping I can make it work.

Any advice?

Re: Shroud Knife (Spell build)

The knife is a HKA I'm assuming .. use the following:

EB or HKA; Linked: Knife, Only vs Holy/Godly People (-1)

Now - it always discharges this energy into them (you said hit or miss, I'm just making sure)? Do any DEF Apply or does it automatically hurt them?

If no DEF Apply, change "Only vs Holy/Godly People" to "NND, DEF being Evil"

Using an EB means if you miss the Charge still shoots out and strikes the target (another attack roll is required). If you want to "ensure" hitting the target add in a Area of Effect: 1 Hex.

If you want the attack to do BODY and go the NND Route you will need to add Does BODY.

A possible Final Build:

Energy Blast; Linked: Knife, NND (DEF is being Evil), Does BODY, AoE: 1 Hex.

It's a tad bit high on the Active Point side, and NND with Does BODY is always a STOP SIGN ability, be careful with it.
