Altered Duplicates

Hugh Neilson

Question

Apologies if this is already in the book - I'm away from the books today.

If a character has Duplication with the advantage that points may differ from the base character, and has multiple duplicates, can his duplicates vary in different ways? I'm thinking of a character who has, say, two duplicates who vary from the base, but each manifests the variance in different, and fixed, ways, not being able to change the allocation of the variable points from one day to the next.

[Alternatively, I suppose the same effect could be achieved by using the variant points on multiform for the duplicates, but that's not my question.]

Re: Altered Duplicates

First, you should never, ever be away from your HERO System rulebook. Not only is it indispensable for gaming, it can protect you if someone decides to take a shot at you. Be safe, be secure, be a Hero! :hex:

Now, as to your question, the answer is Yes. For instance, the example in the book uses a character who can Duplicate into four elemental forms, each with powers related to its own element.
