Life Support Follow Up

Hugh Neilson

Question

Just a follow up on your earlier response, below. You note that Life Support, while Persistent, is not Inherent. Is Life Support be considered Always On by default, or can the character turn it on or off at will? eg.

(a) Can a strong enough Mind Control convince a character to shut off his Immunity to Radiation?

(B) Can a character who Need not Breathe shut that off so he can succumb to peer pressure and smoke an illicit substance ("I experimented, but I could not inhale"?), or inhale a vapour with medicinal properties?

© FlameMan is immune to extreme heat, a fact known to the criminal community. While undercover, a thug suggests using a lighter to "make sure none of youse guys is really FlameMan in disguise".

(d) If a character wants his LS to be Inherent, does he first make it Always On (whether at -1/2 or -0, depending on whether this is considered limiting by the GM), or can he simply apply Inherent to his Life Support without adding Always On since it is Always On by default?

Never underestimate the ability of Herodom Assembled to envision bizarre situations!
