Re: WWYCD: Evil in Innocence

Microman II: Is a member of one of those teams that stretches the credibility of the scenario. Between Horus-Re, Starguard, and Warmaster Fielan, they really should be able to figure a way to remove or suppress the demon, or run across some variant of what was actually done.

Assuming even that isn't allowed, Starguard almost certainly would try the "Petition God" option, and as a remnant archangel, its entirely possible. If even *that* doesn't work ( and it'd need a damn good explanation why for us to not flip the table ), Horus-Re would probably carry the child into his father's realm. The demon definitely won't survive this, and the child likely wouldn't either, but at least the child's remaining spirit can rest peacefully, having been hand delivered to Heaven.

Diomedes: Would speak to Athena about this, which would probably lead him to the possible solutions. If even she cannot provide any answers, and if no one they can consult can otherwise help. . . he'd probably kill the kid. No CvK, and the Protective of Innocents is kind of set against itself here. He'd hate himself forever after, though, and this would at the least drive him into an excessively dark persona. Maybe outright villainous.

Jack Frost: Assuming the idea that they cannot free the child comes up, Jack Frost would angrily demand that if the demon wants a body, a soul to leech off of, then take his. Hopefully, the *demon* can let go of the child, even if it can't be forced out. This has several upshots. One, Jack Frost is more capable of fighting the demon for control than a small child. Two, if the only way to stop the demon is to kill the host, Jack Frost knows this going in, and can accept it willingly. In the campaign's genre, this means that the demon probably cannot resist the offer, and in turn, will get massively screwed by trying this. :)

Hermes: Okay, for starters, either Minos or the Summer King really should be able to free the child. Absent that, Hermes would insist on containing the child in some kind of stasis or such, until such time as they *can* figure a way to heal and free him. If no other option arises, Hermes would consider using time travel to prevent the posession in the first place. . .
