John T
I'd looked thru 5e, but didn't find anything that cleared this up: I buy 6d6 Mind Control, Cumulative, with one level of Increased Max Effect, allowing me to accumulate a max of 72 points of effect against a target. Target has 10 points of mental defense, against which I roll 25 points on the first attempt. Does this mean that I have gained 25, or 15 points against the 72 point max I can accumulate? Thanks! Steve Long
Re: Cumulative, defense and max effect This is specifically answered in the text and in the example in both 5E and 5ER. Is there something about that information that's confusing you, or am I overlooking something in your question? If you can't find the info, please post a follow-up.
