Holding a Phase

Hugh Neilson

Question

Steve, I'm looking for an "official default" rule for characters holding a reserved half or full phase. Is it assumed that:

(a) other characters can easily tell the difference between a character whose next phase hasn't come up yet and a character who has held a full or half phase in reserve?

(B) there's generally no perceivable difference between a character who has reserved a half or full phase and one who has not.

© a successful PER roll can differentiate the two, as an action which takes no time.

(d) a successful PER roll can differentiate the two, as azero phase action.

(e) a successful PER roll can differentiate the two, as an action which takes a half phase (like checking to see if a character is really out, or just playing possum).

(f) something else.

I'm looking for a default here. Obviously, it's pretty easy to intuit that the guy with the gun who is braced and ready to filre, and just yelled "Hands up or I'll shoot" has at least a half phase reserved.
