1-for-1 vehicles cost question

In standard superhero campaign (200 base +150 dis) if i wanted to buy the vehicle perk and the vehicle total cost adds up to 431 points and the vehicle has 40 disadvantages how much will this perk cost my character? 78 pts? 111? or 143 pts? or 157pts? or something else?

 

a)431-40/5=78 or b)431-40=391 which is 41 over base so 350/5=70+41=111 or c) vehicle is 81 over 350 basis so 350-40=310/5=62 +81=143 or d) none of the above, you need to ...

It costs 151 Points.

 

Break Down - you are a 350 Point Character.

 

So the first 350 Points of your Vehicle Perk costs 350/5 = 70 Points.

The next 81 Points of your Vehicle costs 81 Points (1 for 1).

 

70 + 81 = 151.

 

Everything over the Character Points is paid for at a 1-for-1 Basis. Up to that point it is paid four at a 1-for-5 basis, you pay for the Disadvantages as well.

So there is no point in the vehicle having 40 pts of disadvantages?
