I ran across this recently .

 

Erasable paper

 

A paper that erases itself. I could use this at work. It would be perfect for those files that no one is supposed to see but the characters get their hands on somehow.

Most of the time if I print something out, I make notes on it in the margins. If they come up with a pen that automatically erases from the paper, it might be more useful.

 

Better yet would be a system that allows you to fix the temporary image permanently, so when you're printing out forms and stuff that needs signatures or needs to be maintained permanently, you can reuse all the inevitable mistakes, where you left out Block 12 or misspelled a name in Block 6. Most of the time when I'm going through a ton of paper, it's because of niggling little nitpicks with the form I'm printing.

 

EDIT: Gamewise....hmmm...I'm wondering if there's a way to recover information that's already faded...could be a good way to give a clue to an enterprising PC with a Criminology roll...
