I loooked on page 272, but I am still confused. I believe if the power is bought uncontrolled and is worth 50 active points. The power can remain up and free the VPP for the next phase, as long as 5 END is spent every phase to keep it up, but as regard to armor. How much END does it use every phase to remain up? Armor does not cost END if I am correct.

That's correct, Armor does not cost END. Typically such Powers are only made Uncontrolled if they have the Costs Endurance Limitation, or if there's some other significant or obvious restriction on their duration (as discussed in the right-hand column on 5ER 272).
