Clairsentience vs. AoE AVLD, Take 2

My original question:

A character has Clairsentience, and is using it to observe goings-on at a remote location where a fight occurs. During this fight, another character lets loose with an Energy Blast, AVLD (defense is Sight Group Flash Defense), Area Of Effect (radius), and the first character's perception point is within that radius. Is the Clairsentient character affected?

The point of the question was to ask whether the rules on that page apply to AVLD vs Flash Defense as well as Flash itself.

Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding. Absolutely not; you can't damage someone through Clairsentience that way.
