Basil
This is one of the coolest, most marvelous things I've seen. The photos taken by the Lunar Orbiters in the mid 1960's are being restored to their full clarity and resolution---a clarity and resolution never seen before, because the Earth-side channels for distribution of photographs wasn't able to show the pictures in their full glory. But now they can be, and soon will be, shown to all in their full marvelousness! For a general description, see [/url]. For detailed discussion, see here.
Nyrath
Re: Solar HERO: Moon photos saved from oblivion Ah, but Richard Hoagland will have a field day. The "Face on Mars" was a gimmie, with all the high-resolution photos I'm sure he'll find hundreds if not thousands of undeniable alien artifacts.
