5th Ed Healing Versus Disease

A player wants to be able to heal any sickness. He's taken some healthy healing powers including resurrection. However, I'm not sure this would cure things such as cancer or other diseases that slowly change the body. This seems like a Transform. My questions:

 

Is healing the right power to cure a life threatening disease?

 

If not would it remove symptoms and what is the correct way to cure a disease in hero?

Depending on how a disease was defined, Healing could restore Characteristics lost to it, but couldn't stop it from continuing to affect the victim (an important consideration, given that diseases are usually built as long-term, slow-acting attacks). The way to both counter the effects *and * stop the disease from affecting the victim is a Transform; see the Cure Illness spell on FHG 246 for an example.
