Tribal
Kind of dissappionted, basicly there was no manual with the Cd. It would have been nice just to see something a breif history of Champions, The zones and levels you should be when traveling around them, The keyboard layout. SvZurich
Re: The Book They have a short one on their site, it is slowly being added to. They also have articles on the site covering the history and major characters. I agree a zone map showing what level ranges would be nice, but the quests themselves tell you when you are done with that area for now. When you complete the Canada or Desert quests, they give you quests for MC and the other location. So far the game hands you off nicely when questing. Quietus
Re: The Book A good manual in PC games is a complete rarity, except for some niche companies (like Paradox). I definitely wouldn't expect it from MMO's, where most of the information is posted by either the developers, or players, in the forums. Honestly, that's where I got most of my COH information, forum posts by players.
SvZurich
Re: The Book I think X3:TC did a great job on their manual. Game still has a STEEP learning curve, but I had the basics. Plus as a former Eve Online player, the concepts were easy to grasp. For MMOs where the content changes patch by patch, a good manual would be out of date within weeks. Amoeba Man
Re: The Book I was very dissappionted with the booklet included in the game. I know there is a Strategy Guide, and my wife flipped through it yesterday while I was looking over her shoulder. It looks interesting, but I can't help feel that lack of information in the booklet that comes with the games will increase sales of the Strategy Guide, and that's by design. Cygnia
Re: The Book Is the manual even still viable at this point? Our friend who owns a copy says they've already changed and neutered the Archer.
