6th: Cost of Followers, Bases, Vehicles, etc.

Just to make sure I have this straight...

 

In 6th Edition, when a character buys a Follower, Base, or Vehicle, the cost is based on the total cost, not the base cost, right?

 

The reason I ask is that Hero Designer, when using an Associated File, insists on using the base cost, and when I brought it up to Dan he insisted that it's not a bug.

It depends on the character's, Vehicle's, whatever's Total Cost. The term "base cost" really isn't used at all in 6E, since relatively low amounts of Complications are required and the assumption is that a character (or Vehicle, or whatever) will automatically take the full value of Matching Complications points required.
