Barrier

Characters can use Barrier at Range. To place a

Barrier in the desired Area at Range, the character

must succeed with an Attack Roll against DCV 3.

 

Where a Barrier is not created at range - it's right beside the character, or maybe he's revitalizing it to bring its BOD back up - which of the following is correct:

 

(a) It is still an attack action requiring a roll against DCV 3?

( It is still an attack action, but need not roll to hit?

© It is a zero phase action - the character can attack after.

Re: Barrier

 

It's an Attack Action to use Barrier, whether that's constructing an all-new Barrier or creating a new "patch" to repair an existing Barrier. If the Area you're placing the Barrier in is adjacent to you, then that Area is DCV 0, per the rules on 6E2 40.
