johnvalentine
I cant find it in the book, so i was wondering how holding actions worked. Like for example proton man was duking it out with omega six, some kind of bad guy. Proton man has a speed of 4, which means he acts on 3, 6, 9, 12. Omega sx has a speed of 3, which means he acts on 4, 8, and 12. Omega six activates a power that has the extra time disadv, meaning it wont 'go off' till phase 8 in combat. My question is, can Proton man hold his phase 6 action to activate an instant duration defense on phase 8 when Omega six fires off the attack? Another question is, if my hero has a speed of 5, could i hold all my actions so that i can take them all sequentially for the last 5 phases of combat? (Phase 8-12)? Ternaugh
Re: Questions about speed score and holding actions. Yes, Proton Man can hold his Phase 6 action until Phase 8. At the start of Phase 9, Proton Man will lose that saved action if he didn't use it, as you can only have one held action at a time. (See 6e2 20 for more information). This effectively means that the answer to your second question is "no", as you'd lose your saved actions as soon as the next active Phase came up.
