From you response, I take the following, which I want to make absolutely clear.
If you attempt to dive for cover using flying dodge, it will automatically fail. So am I right about the following argument (besides being the GM), that the rules support me.
Example:
GM: "Boomster throws an explosion in your hex. Do you wish to dive for cover?"
Player: "Munchkin does a flying dodge out of the area of effect."
GM: "You can't 'flying dodge' out of the area effect."
Player: "Munchkin has enough movement to go 40m. Is that not enough?"
GM: "No, you can't use the flying dodge maneuver in that manner."
Player: "But the rules say, you can abort to a 'flying dodge' and immediately get a full moves distance."
GM: "You start the flying dodge, the explosion goes off, you take full damage, and then you move your movement."
