If so I'd be very interested in any anecdotes. I ask because I really enjoyed reading the 2008 "Stronghold." While I haven't played "Champions" (or any other RPG) in many years now, I bought it to read anyway because the original "Escape from Stronghold," which I bought as a middle school kid almost 30 years ago now, was one of my favorite RPG publications at the time. But even then, my friends and I never actually played within "Stronghold." What was most enjoyable for me in the early 1980s was just reading the detailed description of the place (a whole 20 pages!). A prison for super villains was very novel concept to me at the time. But while some of our 2e "Champions" games back then began with hooks involving villains escaping from Stronghold, we never actually played within it.
