Your saying any chareter can have the exact same equipment if they pay the points so wealth is useless. But a rolepplaying game isn't just about powers. If we only focus on powers then stealth, contacts, animal handler, and any other noncombat skill is useless. I pretty much never see anyone buy system operation. The skill isn't useless, it just pretty well never comes up. Wealth has many in game uses but only if the gm allows it. Captain Penniless and Uberruichman may be able to get the same ray gun with points. Does help if they need to go to France. Then thanks to wealth Uberrichman arrives on his private jet where have dressed stwardess serve him champaine days before the freighter Captain Penniless has been hiding in the cargo hold of arrives.
