phoenix240
Re: For whom the (dinner) bell tolls... Wild Child: Eats pretty much anything that doesn't eat her first. Since being transplanted to Midway City this means rats, squirrels, pigeons, rabbits and other urban/suburban wild life and the occasional luckless house pet. The many different scents she's been getting are intriguing and she's been watching people eat various things and its getting increasingly tempting so she'll probably have her first experience with cooked food fairly soon. Orion
Re: For whom the (dinner) bell tolls... Orion: plain American food for the most part. Meatloaf, pot pie, casseroles. Not much of a cook at all, so hamburgers, pizza, and hot dogs high on his list. Lots of sandwiches from the deli. Eats out a lot. Italian food is about as ethnic as he gets, and generally avoids Asian food. Loves beer, but wouldn't know a good wine if it was thrown in his face. Adamant: steak and baked potato type by preference, but has traveled the world enough that will eat just about anything without complaining. BBQ and steaks are what he cooks best, but he prefers it if someone else does the cooking. He can go without eating due to being energy in human form, but enjoys it. Doesn't drink much, but will always go for something good when he does. More of a tea or water drinker. Emerald Knight: with a San Diego surfer dude background, he's fond of Mexican and anything Asian. Loves sushi. Thinks all those off-the-wall California dishes are actually normal food. Tends to prefer seafood over beef and pork. Drinks microbrews and California wines like the rest of his social group, but is really more interested in the alcohol content than the taste. Egyptoid
Re: For whom the (dinner) bell tolls... White Knite: In our Fourteen Suns game (think JLA Animated crossed with Cowboy Bebop) the game jetted all over the place, so would deliberately try to eat at superlative places: Best Sushi on Mars Colony, Finest Steak place on Titan, BBQ at Antarctic base. The game was long enough ago that Russian Tea Room actually meant something. Our team teleporter would often bring the group carry-out lunches from the best places in the whole solar system. phoenix240
Re: For whom the (dinner) bell tolls... Stinger: Before her transformation she used to eat very little as she didn't like to waste important time cooking and even forgot to eat while deeply involved in research or design. When she did eat it was plain, simple and fairly bland. Food was a nessescity not a pleasure in her opinion and she put as little effort into it as possible. Now her altered metabolism forces her to pay more attention to her diet demanding many more calories than a regular human her age and size would require. She still eats pretty plainly, mostly high caloric foods with good nutritional value from fitness bars and shakes but she'd developed something of a sweet tooth, a more "advanced" version of an insect craving for sugar and finds herself indulging in desserts and sweets more than she feel entirely comfortable with.
