    I see you took the magic vulnerability here. However, some folks on another thread told me Supes has a problem breaking mystic bonds and foci. Have you seen or read this?

    I dropped the RSR idea as it would just bog down the playability (make a roll for every use of a power) of an already very complicated game-time character (VPP!).

    Yes, I have spent many a session on trying to calculate the points for various power constructs.

     

    I went with IIF on the PC character sheet since the wearer can communicate via Mind Link with the ring's AI without it being obvious. Remember, the powers are technically still the ring's and their 'Obvious' nature is reflected on that character sheet.
    This makes perfect sense now. You would be double tapping an OIF limitation since it's already taken care of with the obvious nature...

    Well, I am very impressed. It beats the crap outta my write up for another Kryptonian. I have similar items like the MP but yours is much more efficient. Also, my PC has 191 exp and we start PCs with 270 pts (150 free + 120 disads) so my net is 461. I see an improvement in my future and eyebrow raising by my GMs.

    I built a GL ring very similar to this using the computer/follower idea. However, I like the 1 Continuing Charge for 1 Day. I noticed on a previous post you are considering RSR option. I based mine on an Ego Roll and put points in to the roll to help with major constructs.

     

    I am curious though. I did not see any limitation to the color yellow? I gave mine a -1/4 limitation. Also, I see you have the focus as an IIF? What is your reasoning for not making it an OIF ring? I enjoyed your other write ups too.

  5. 5ed question. If I buy a normal Force Wall with PD/ED and I take an attack from an RKA based on ECV does that mean the Force Wall will go down if I haven't bought it Transparent to Mental Attacks? Does this hold true for other exotic attacks like Flash or Adjustment powers? What is the benefit of buying a Force Wall transparent to Flash or Power Defense attacks (5ed pg 182)?

    I built Jamie using exactly that. I gave him Duplication (0 Phase action) and 4d6 Absorption to Duplication with a 2d6 Aid to both Dup & Absorp. He's a fun PC to run but it can get pretty crazy when there are 40 or more of him running around the scene. I use an agent sheet to keep up with them. The base character has some Martial Arts, a little body Armor, and his stats. That's it. Our campaign allowed for 270 pt. PCs but you could shave it down to 250.

    If you have Champion Powers there's a power in the Solar Powers section It has a name like Solar Power Battery(or some such thing) the optional version based on Aid would work for some versions of Kryptonian write-ups.

     

    Based on Aid? Could you explain that a little more please?

  8. I have a an old character named Vanguard. He is a Kryptonian I built back in the 3ed days and he has 291 exp. The thing is...I only have the standard green kryptonite limitation on his powers (-1/4). I also have susceptibilities and vulnerabilities to the other types of kryptonite but I wondered if anyone had any suggestions on other limitations an alien of this type might have? Be gentle please...I am new here.

    There are a lot of really good suggestions already so I'll just leave one. I created hero named Spot. Basically he is covered in worm hole-like matter in the shape of spots. Here is one of his attacks (5ed)

     

    Teleport-10" UAA (+1); Damage Shield (+1/2) Activation 13- (-3/4). If he gets punched then he tries to move a spot in the way and t-port the attacker away. He still takes the punch regardless but it has come in handy.

  10. I'm not sure if this thread belongs here but it was the closest match I saw. So, I recently bought Hero Designer and I am having a problem with the limitation link. I have a Megascale slot in a Multipower and I would like to link a Megascale Sense to it. However, after repeated attempts the program will allow me to link it but the Sense sits outside the MP and not in the slot. Am I doing something the program or rules do not allow?

    I agree with Prestidigitator. I recently did a rewrite of a tech hero who has car, plane, and boat (275 pts each). Under the current rules I paid the 55 points for the first and kicked in 8 more for the extra two vehicles (the GM let me have the boat for 3 points and I plan on spending my next 2 points to make a space-worthy craft).
