Hello Hero Community! Just a quick question regarding the use of the Independent power limitation in 5th Edition (revised). I was wondering why every piece of published equipment doesn’t have this limitation? Afterall, they must have been created by somebody who paid the points for them... Or am I missing something really, really obvious in the correct way to apply this limitation? Should it not be used for standard purchasable equipment in, say, a heroic level game? In that case, should I just forget about this limitation, as apparently the publishers have done for 6th Edition? Thanks for your advice!

Hi everyone, A while ago, I found the piece of software named above; great for 3d space mapping etc. Since then, I had a catastrophic hard drive failure requiring a complete reformating, and lost everything. I've been trying to find IFOS again, following several links, but they all now seem to be dead. I was just wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to find it now? Re: Star Wars licence news... Yeah, I thought that would be the case! But it does seem to be a bit foolish of Lucasfilm to be pricing themselves out of the market, does it not...?

Hiya, I’ve just seen over on the WotC boards that Wizards will no longer be the holders of the Star Wars RPG licence, which apparently expires in May this year. I was wondering, would this licence be something that Hero might pursue, or being Lucasfilm, would it be too costly…? Cheers!

Greetings chaps and chapesses, I’m a long time lurker here and fan of the Hero System, but first time poster. I’ve done a quick search, but couldn’t find anything that addresses my query, so sorry if this has been gone over before. I was wondering if anyone’s ever done a conversion of the (in my opinion) excellent magic system from the old Torg game into the Hero System? It seemed a natural system to me, with Magical Skills in Alteration, Apportation, Conjuration, and Divination, that when used in conjunction with various Arcane Knowledges (representing aspects or concepts in the world) create spells and magical effects. I’m not interested in trying to resurrect Torg with the Hero System, but in using its take on magic for a new fantasy setting I’m devising. So yes, just wondering if anyone’s had a bash at this sort of magic system, or if not, how do you think you’d you go about it? Thanks very much!!!
