  1. Is anyone seriously considering something like Rigid Armor? I was really just talking about taking a some damage for haymakering something tough. There are probably ways to buy this effect as a power (eg. Damage Shield). But that would seem odd for say a generic concrete wall. And yet if I hit a generic concrete wall with all my might, I am not likely to break it (although with 5 1/2 d6 of normal damage I could do it). I would be likely to hurt myself. I was thinking more of a combat affect like the damage from movebys and movethroughs. Maybe limiting it resistant defenses (most walls and such) and Haymakers is the way to go. I would probably give the 1/2 stun for hit locations (hand) or x2 (for head), even if I didn't use the locations normally to simulate that is unlikely you'd knock yourself out with a punch to a wall. But that you might actually do it with a head butt.
  2. I wasn't thinking of the def/body limition. I may have been thinking of the shrinking, zero g, and flying mods. The latter two are now clearly die modifications, and the former is a distance mod. Shrinking could net you many more inches of distance without increasing the damage. That may have been what I was thinking.
  3. Imagine this, Diamond Head, the invulnerable brick faces a pack of Hells Angels. One take a mighty swing at Diamond Head and breaks his fist. The others run. How can we simulate this? I think one mechanism would be a variant of the rules on Movethorough. If the attacker does no body or stun or knockback, the attacker takes full damage from his own melee attack. If the attacker is using a melee weapon, then the weapon takes the full damage, and the attacker takes 1/2 the stun. If hit locations are used, the striking part takes the damage. Why only for Hay Makers? Well this is to simulate that most strikes are not done with so much force to hurt the assailant. This could also work for inanimate objects. That would prevent normals from busting their way out of brick prisons (by pushing and haymakering until they rolled enough damage to break out), they would more likely knock themselves out. So what do you think?
  4. I seem to remember an old rule that said that you could never do more dice of damage with knockback than with the original attack. Does that rule still apply (if it ever was a rule)? Ex. Swatter has an 8d6 HA x1.5 increased knockback. He attacks Flyboy (flying) does 10 body x1.5 = 15 - (roll 1d6) 3 = 12 inches KB into a solid steel wall. Would Flyboy take 12d6 of damage? THX
  5. What is the loss of effect for a Flash Explosion (it doesn't really have DC) Is it -1d6 for each hex or -1d6 for every two hexes or -1/2d6 for every hex? (Count only sixes as body?) Thanks
