Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.
Not bad but you are still missing six of mine. One from 2005 which was the Flying Chinese Girl in the grey bodysuit and all the rest are lat year ones, Dr Density, Speedbump, Chemical Giant etc
Doh! If you can point out where I can get them DT, or send me the los res versions directly, I'd be happy to fix the oversight.

Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.
BTW gang, some time ago I posted a link to my Picasa album where I've been collecting Storn's artwork posted to this thread. Well, Storn is such a prolific poster that the album got too big, and I had to start a second album. I expect I'll eventually fill this one too, but for those that had bookmarked the album, you might want to add a second bookmark for this second album. Below are links to both just in case:

Re: Civilians Miniatures?
Ok, it's been a while since I found any miniatures to add to this thread, but here we go...
First off, a few additions from our friends at Heresy Miniatures
Next up from HeroClix
Gotham City Detective
Johnny Thunder (just remove the Thunderbolt or rebase Johnny)
Jakeem Thunder (again, remove the Thunderbolt or rebase Jakeem)
Lois Lane
Vadal Savage (although he's a bit dated in this outfit)
Amanda Waller (just clip her gun and she's perfect - even better, model a pointed finger on that outstretched hand and she can confront your heroes with all kinds of feisty goodness)
Enjoy!

Re: Champions Miniatures/Heroclix Mods
Some more conversions by teh bunneh (aka Bill Keyes)
Black Mask X: Cooplestone casting (?).
Dr. Destroyer: according to teh bunneh "Dr. Destroyer was an IndyClix Bron with Dr. Fate's head. I think his shoulder pads were plastic skulls."

Re: Champions Miniatures/Heroclix Mods
Hey Myrlyn' date=' I don't suppose you've still got a picture of that Grond mini that I did way back when...? [/quote']I wish! I've been trying to find it in the boards, but it looks like it was deleted along with a lot of the others from prior threads. Don't suppose you could take a few new pics and send them along, could you? I've working on a few new conversions myself, but it is really slow going right now.
I do however recall the recipe:
by keyes_bill
Grond (CKC) - Heroclix Hulk (x2 for the other arms), Reaper Lizardman Tyrant for the head, toothpicks for the horns, and putty for the gaps.

Re: Champions Miniatures/Heroclix Mods
More from Lupus (?)
Witchcraft (Champions) - The body was originally a Marvel Scarlet Witch Heroclix figure (I think?), with a simple repaint.
Nighthawk (Champions) - This figure started out as a Marvel Hobgoblin figure, had a hand replacement from a DC Heroclix Clayface and the nightstick is from a DC Heroclix Robin figure. Additional green stuff and repainting.
Ironclad (Champions) - A simple conversion from a Marvel Hercules Heroclix figure, with a touch of green stuff on the forehead and then repainted.

Re: Champions Miniatures/Heroclix Mods
Speaking of converting HeroClix to Champions characters look what I found on Ebay. Thanks Kitten... I think that's Lupus' handiwork there online. I'm uploading the other pics to the gallery and will repost here shortly. Thanks!

Re: Champions Miniatures/Heroclix Mods
These ones are from Blue:
Thunderbolt II - looks like a simple conversion of a Marvel Heroclix Havok with some greenstuff to get the helmet.
Crimson Claw - According to Blue this is a Mage Knight "Welp Alchemist" (and some green stuff I think).

Re: Champions Miniatures/Heroclix Mods
The following figs were created by Bluejacket. I've no idea of the recipes, but I love the Mechanon (any help guys?):
Mechanon, Ogre and Pulsar
-
Re: Champions Miniatures/Heroclix Mods
Foxbat (creator unknown)
Foxbat - an early Batman Heroclix figure with some greenstuff for the mask and a Blue Beetle gun for the ping-pong gun.
-
Re: Champions Miniatures/Heroclix Mods
A couple of others to add, Giganto and another Sapphire (same creator as Ankylosaur above):
Sapphire - I think this is another Rogue repaint after a quick head swap. Just not sure which head was used.
Giganto - a quick Thing repaint.
-
Re: Champions Miniatures/Heroclix Mods
Istvatha Va'haan, Empress of a Billion Worlds:
I love the Istvatha Va'haan the bunneh! Do you recall the recipe?
-
Re: Champions Miniatures/Heroclix Mods
Utility (creator unknown at this time)
Utility - this started out as a simple Heroclix agent with a head swap from a Heroclix Crimson Dynamo.
-
Re: Champions Miniatures/Heroclix Mods
Ankylosaur (creator unknown at this time)
Ankylosaur - a Heroclix Colossus with a Warhammer 40K Space Marine backpack and a Heroclix scorpion tail I believe. The head was modified with a little green stuff I believe.

Re: Champions Miniatures/Heroclix Mods
Sapphire by Lupus
Sapphire (Champions) - started out as a Rogue Heroclix miniature and was just repainted. No conversion required.

Re: Champions Miniatures/Heroclix Mods
My own contribution to this thread.
Black Harlequin (CKC) - The body is the HeroClix Joker, the head is actually HeroClix Harley Quinn with the nose filed down a tad, cut off the fish the Joker is holding in his hands, drill a hole through one hand, and use a bit of wire for a cane. Viola! Instant Black Harlequin.

Eventually I'd like to rebase and possibly repaint this figure since I found the white face grease paint difficult to capture correctly, but the fig is easily recognizable which is what I really wanted.

Hi gang,
A while back, there were several threads that held lots of good conversions/mods of various Heroclix miniatures converted into the different characters of the Champions Universe (Proditor was behind a lot of these threads). Unfortunately, a lot of the pics have gone AWOL, and I was hoping to collect them again on the boards for eventual hosting in an online gallery I'm putting together. If any of you have such miniatures of the official villains or heroes of CU, could you please post them to this thread? And if possible please include a description of how you made the conversion.
My goal is to eventually try to make conversions for each of the villains in the CKC book from 5th edition.
Thanks!
Keith

Re: Ways to limit my Utility Belt VPP?
Hmmm... My character doesn't have a Matches equivalent, so I could perhaps use the Multiple foci or works at reduced effectiveness limitation on mine.

Re: Ways to limit my Utility Belt VPP?
DusterBoy: I used to have a MP, but it didn't really capture the kind of thing I was looking for... I think it jsut wasn't flexible enough in the end, and I always had the same gadgets then (though they were actually higher active cost then since I built the MP with more active points overall). I may still go back to it if my GM doesn't like JmOz's VPP version of the UB.

Re: Ways to limit my Utility Belt VPP?
Of course, it could be argued that a Batman-style utility belt would actually be limited more like this:Limited Power (Must have a halfway plausible reason to have brought gadget, -1/4), Limited Power (Once belt has produced eight gadgets, those are "locked in" until a return to base; -1/4).
Letting the belt produce anything remotely plausible and then retroactively declaring that item to have been picked back at base seems like a better fit for a character with near-psychic planning abilities than actually making the player choose the gadgets ahead of time. Make the skill for the pool be Deduction maybe, to see whether you predicted the given item would be necessary.
I like this ideas in that it provides for how Batman always seems to have just the right gadget... we'll have to see what my GM says. I think he would prefer I have to pick them ahead of time, since that's a bit more limiting (and also matches the example that Hyper-Man provided above).
