  1. Sorry if this seems dense... The rules say (p412) Does this also hold true if the character is Stunned by one attack and then Knocked Out by another while they are still Stunned? Or does this character have to lose a phase from being Stunned and then begin Recoveries?
  2. Re: THE ULTIMATE SPEEDSTER -- What Do *You* Want To See? Perhaps something on chases and races and blurry combat (especially for super-speedsters). * Chases: There's a lot of good stuff for vehicles that may optionally be valuable / generalizable for very fast non-vehicular pursuits; skill vs skill checks and consideration for actively trying to avoid pursuit with obstuctions, double backs, zigs & zags, etc. * Races: Something that brings more drama to the mechanics - more than (SPD A x Movement A) vs (SPD B x Movement ; maybe something with skill checks and consideration for the difficulty of the course they are traversing * Combat: Specifically, something that covers (and makes manageable) super-speedsters threading in and out of downtown buildings, taking shots/punches at each other; maybe something similar to dog-fighting-esque rules
  3. Suppose a 5 hex barrier wall created by a 5d6, 5 Def Entangle (5 BODY rolled on the dice). When the Entangle wall is reduced to zero BODY, does the whole wall go down? Or is there "...a human-sized hole in it. The size of the hole doubles for every +1 BODY inflicted over the wall's base BODY." as with other walls (5th Ed 304)?
  4. How does the fade rate of adjustment powers vs defenses change the effect? In the example below from a previous post, the character reaches maximum effect on their 6d6 Transfer (STR to PD) at 36, and receives +18 PD (due to halving). At post-segment, 5 pts fade. Does the total become 31, and they now gain +15 PD (as opposed to +18 - 5 = +13 PD)?
  5. Is the Maximum Effect on Adjustment Powers (such as Aid) that affect defenses halved in the same way the effect is halved? The example in 5th Ed p74 has Leech buying a 6d6 Drain, and, if applied to a defense power, the effect rolled is halved. Is Leech's maximum effect 18? 36?
  6. The text on 5ed p147 says This last sentence, regarding not reducing the Telekinetic's DCV or OCV, is in reference to penalties suffered after the opponent character is grabbed, correct? Does the Telekinetic still suffer the -1 OCV/-2 DCV a normal Grab maneuver normally bestows when making the Telekinetic Grab? After a successful Telekinetic Grab?
  7. Can a character use Hip Shot & Hurry with another maneuver? Can they Hip Shot or Hurry a grab? Can they Hip Shot or Hurry a Martial Arts maneuver?
  8. If you Hip Shot or Hurry, is that basically the only action you can take that phase, since they are combat maneuvers, combat maneuvers are attack actions, and attack actions must be the last action of the phase? I suppose a person could wait until their DEX and initiative, half-move and then Hip Shot or Hurry, but what would be the point?
  9. How long does the Suppression Fire maneuver take? In the table on 5Ed p254, it says 1 phase. In the text on 5Ed p263 it says Half Phase. I didn't find an answer in a search of the FAQ or in this forum. (Maybe it's there and I missed it.)
  10. I saw an earlier post here on the forums about Transfer & Area Effect and after thinking about this I'm more confused. I found two references in the FAQ on this: #1: === Q: If a character has an Area Of Effect Transfer, does he apply the effect to all targets within the area and get all the points? A: No. He rolls the effect on his Transfer dice and determines the amount. He then divides that as equally as possible between all the affected persons. - and - #2: === Q: The rules for Area Of Effect and Adjustment Powers (5E 75) specify an equal effect for everyone in the area covered. What would the value of the Limitation be for a Drain or Transfer that had to split its effect up evenly among all the targets in the affected area? A: That would be a -3/4 Limitation. #2 seems to say that splitting the effect up is a limitation; #1 seems to say that splitting the effect up is the norm. Is splitting the effect the norm or a limitation? Is there something I'm missing? Also, am I understanding splitting. Suppose: Ugly Bomber has a 2d6 COM Transfer AE (45 active points) and it hits 7 guys in its area, rolls a 2 & a 5, then each target is hit by 1 pt of COM transfer (2 COM each)? Even Death Bomber who has a 2d6 BODY transfer AE (45 active points) who hits the same 7 guys in its area, rolls a 2 & a 5, then each target is hit by 1 pt of BODY transfer (not even 1 BODY each)? Is this right?
