Anyways, we got into a fight with CLOWN. Yes, CLOWN. I was pummeling on various clowns, when the dancing guy with the damn cane (Softshoe? I forget his name, I'm sure someone knows who I'm talking about) gets behind me and smacks me with that damn cane. So I start dancing, caught in a mental entangle. Having a low ego, I know I will be stuck for awhile...and then I remember Caperiera, and that my character has KS: Dance, and that many martial arts styles have dancing steps in them, and that some martial arts have stylized dance forms.

 

I spent the rest of the fight beating that poor guy up with dance moves, and finished him off with a leaping ballet kick to the head.

 

My special effect OWNED his special effect.

Actually, it's because under the charter, UN dues are calculated based on things like GNP, national debt, per capita income, etc. As of 2002, the U.S. was paying about 22% of the U.N. operating budget, and somewhere between 10-15% of the peacekeeping budget. (Well, supposed to be paying, anyway. The US ran up a debt of unpaid UN bills to somewhere between $1-3 billion up til '99.)

 

I'm not sure where the 40% figure came from, because the dues have been capped at 22% since 2001. (A change from the 25% ceiling established in 1974.)

Has anyone done any conversions of the old Villains & Vigilantes material? I've considered using the V&V "Universe" as the basis for a campaign, and was wondering if anyone had started any of the groundwork for that.

I'd like to know how he pulled it off, considering that not only is the UN HQ international territory, but, thanks to gifts from John D. Rockefeller and the city of New York, they own the building and the lot. It's not like he could pull their lease or something.
