  1. Re: Kinetik

you guys are awesome thanks so much!

I thought that was him, I have to illustrate an evil version of him for DH and he was the only one I was not sure of who it was. One more to go and then the evil champions are all finished.

I think they are turning out pretty damn.. evil if you ask me.

  2. Re: Duke (art and characters) I got the Primus and Responce Force 1 illustrations done for Digital Hero 37, so if you have not checked that out, you should. I actually merged the team into one illustration on my site if you wanted to take a look at them all together. Looks like WOE is out now too, and I did a few illustrations in that one as well. Let me know if you spot them. A few people have asked me to use some of my work for avatars, I think that would be okay, and it will probably be okay for the Hero Games ones. If not someone let me know. I cut some out tonight and I'll post them here for your pleasure.

Well I'm currently working on 7 illustrations right now for DH that are due very soon. Black and white illustrations though. I had to turn down work for everyman though because there would be no time with my big move coming soon.

I've been pretty pleased with JSA (Justice Society of America)' date=' and have enjoyed the new LSH (Legion of Super Heroes), but I don't think it's fully hit its stride yet. I don't know how the various titles will look with the "One Year Later" changes yet, so can't really comment on much else.[/quote']

I have not tried those titles as of yet and I was thinking of it. I'll give them a shot. I was collecting Detective and Action for awhile, and I thought they would for sure be great books since they are the staples but I didn't like them as much as I was hoping I would.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

What were the cartoon illustrations for?
A lot of those cartoon illustrations were commisioned work from a camply little online comic I was doing a few years ago. The comic itself wasn't meant for quality, but it sure did attract a lot of people. It actually would still do pretty well if I had the drive and did not loose interest in it. Its over here if you are interested in seeing.Tea & Cockroaches

radioKAOS, thanks once again! I'll keep striving to get more done.

RPMiller, thanks for taking the time to go through the thread, I'm glad you liked the work I have done. It really does mean a lot as it is what drives me to do more when someone takes notice. (thanks to the internet where you can reach out and touch the world) I'm working on colouring two illustrations right now that I also did for Hero Games, though these were for Worlds of Empire, so I won't be displaying them until it hits the shelves.

wagnern, I thought I would try something different by putting that floral design on the Rak, and it sure seems that they love to do that over there.

Very interesting points concerning head proportions. Thats something that I never considered before, and like anyone who illustrates, we are all influenced by what we see already that visualy stimulates us. In my case of course comics have always been a big influence in giving me a passion to draw.

The Hairy Tarantula' date=' it's a comics/games store maybe about a block or two from the Eaton Centre. You should be able to find it in the phone book. It usually has all the latest HERO products, though you might have to wait a bit for them to get in. Still, good store and well stocked.[/quote']

Ah I have not been there in years. I'll have to take walk down there.

  8. Re: DC versus Marvel: different styles

Last year I started collecting comics again, and I've managed to nail down a few titles that I liked with Marvel, but I've been bouncing all over with DC trying to find a few titles that are worth collecting.

Anyone have any suggestions of titles worth reading at DC?

  9. Re: DC versus Marvel: different styles

I read an article in Wizard ages ago concerning this as well. I think the main point driven was the fact that alter ego in each company was handled differently.

Marvel would strive for that alter ego to become real where DC didn't really go to far into their characters.

That was the main point of the argument, though in the article it bantered back and forth stating that it was or wasn't true and provided rich examples.

Of course now I'm thinking of the ending of Kill Bill II where the conversation was that Supermans essay on what he thought sumerized the people of earth was Clark Kent. Weak and pathetic. Or something like that.
