  1. Re: Another Zepplin book recommendation It seems to be in stock on Amazon.co.uk, at least Cheers Alistair
  2. Re: Even more cool planes... The latest issue of Skyways magazine has a nice article on the flying wings that were in some of the Republic Pictures serials. Apparently they were shown in "Fighting Devil Dogs", "King of the Mounties" and "Flying Disc Man from Mars" Cheers Alistair
  3. Re: Did someone mention Trains? Many thanks - I've been looking for something like this for ages. Cheers Alistair
  4. Re: WONDERFUL picture for Pulp Aircraft Nice - Very Crimson Skies, isn't it? Cheers Alistair
  5. Re: WONDERFUL picture for Pulp Aircraft Sorry - I meant the S-43, not the S-38. (Of course, if you want to see a S-38 in film, there's one in "The Aviator") Cheers Alistair
  6. Re: WONDERFUL picture for Pulp Aircraft Much later than that, I'm afraid - between '34 and '36, I believe. Cheers Alistair
  7. Re: Athena Voltaire Webcomic Very nice, but someone needs to tell the writer that Heathrow Airport didn't exist until the 1940s... (There's some nice photos of its early days when it was just a collection of tents here: http://www.airwise.com/airports/europe/LHR/LHR_07.html) Cheers Alistair
  8. Re: WONDERFUL picture for Pulp Aircraft The S-43 is also nice (and doesn't look so much like someone stuck wings on a speedboat...) There's some nice plans here: http://www.seawings.co.uk/s43mangal.htm Cheers Alistair

Re: Pulp Science Hmmm - I'll have a shot with my digital camera - give me a couple of days... Cheers Alistair
  12. What are people hoping to see in the Pulp Resource Guide? I'm hoping to see some pulp-era tanks and armoured cars like the Renault FT and the Rolls Royce, together with some more zeppelins. Cheers Alistair
  13. Re: Train, Train There's also the "The Orient Express" by Anthony Burton, which has lots of nice pictures, but not too many floor plans, I'm afraid.
  14. Re: Train, Train The old James Bond RPG book, "Thrilling Locations" had a plan of the Orient Express, I believe. Also, the Museum of Transportation in St Louis( http://www.museumoftransport.org/ )has a *lot* of trains. Not sure if they'd be able to provide plans, though. Cheers Alistair
