    Manchine, roll and Invuln tanker and let me know if you feel useful for the team in the post 30 game. When you hit 40, only then come tell me how you feel about the AT and whether you think it contributes anything useful to a team.

     

    In the meantime, I am a Corrupter. :mad:

     

     

    Looks over at my Real Life Friends level 42 Invuln/Axe. He is fine with it. I guess most people that complain just happen to be rude for no reason.

     

    Of course the opposite can be said. As soon as you become a Dev and learn about the game you could really offer something useful.

    I actually got to make up my first "Good Girl" on the villain side, Siege. The power sets work a lot better for the Hero version I have planned so I remade one of my characters on the villain side. She is a Psychic/Psychic. Hope I7 and not I8 comes with the Mission where you can trade your Hero for Villains and Vice Versa. Electric Marshal is still a Hero because there is no Electric Power Sets in the Villains side.

    I made up two more character really quick, before I had to leave for work. (STUPID DOWN TIME!) Both names I was surprised to get. First one was Power Claw. Thats not that bad and not that common. Then I went for my Brute and I put in the name TANK. I got it. Ok That I was surprised about.

     

    Now I just need to make up Marksmen a Corruptor, Chainz another brute and I need to make a HERO named Electric Marshal since they dont have any Eletric Powers for Villains. Hopefully in Issue 7 or 8 we will be allowed to transfer our heroes over to the villains side.

    You know whats funny. I made up Photon. He was suppose to be spelled Fhoton because someone took the name Photon. Well I decide to just check it again and BLAME I got Photon. Well about 20 minutes later playing. I get a tell saying I took his name. When he deleted his character and waited SO long to remake him as an evil character he didnt think anyone would take him. Well I did. Its my character. I was upset I didnt get the name when Beta ended for CoH. I could only pick one and it was Manchine.

     

    Now of course if he didn't start off by swearing at me. I "might" of thought of giving the name back but thats a different story. I mean you don't start off flaming the guy that you want something from. LOL

    This is for the Prerelease. Where did you set up your account at? If you already have CoH you should do it this way.

     

    If you already have City of Heroes and want to ADD City of Villains to the same account:

    - Go to your PlayNC account where you should UPGRADE your existing City of Heroes account with your pre-order serial code.

    - Before the head start on the 29th, launch City of Heroes from your Desktop or Start Menu. This will update the proper files for both games. At 12:01 AM EST on the 29th, launch City of Heroes, enter the Character Creation Screen, select an empty character slot and you will be given the choice to create a hero or a villain.

    - Select villain and you will be ready to play City of Villains!

    - On the 31st, pick up your purchased copy of City of Villains. Return to your PlayNC account and again UPGRADE your existing account immediately with your new purchased copy serial code.

    NOTE: You do not need to install City of Villains from the Retail Box.

    - That’s it, you are now ready to enter City of Villains and City of Heroes!

    Hello fellow Villains!

    Important: The City of Villains beta sever is not the same as the game server. To begin the head start, you must download the new CoV Updater. If you’ve already entered in your pre-order serial code, we will provide you with a link to the downloader soon. We will announce the link here so keep your eye on Announcements.

     

    If you already have City of Heroes and want to ADD City of Villains to the same account:

    - Go to your PlayNC account where you should UPGRADE your existing City of Heroes account with your pre-order serial code.

    - Before the head start on the 29th, launch City of Heroes from your Desktop or Start Menu. This will update the proper files for both games.     If Uncle Slam became evil, there isn't much my other characters could do. he's way too far out of their league. Anthem and Audra Blue would do some research and subsequently would discover that there was an evil duplicate of Uncle Slam who was defeated back in WWII. The research would point to him being defeated by Slam *and* Paragon, reputed to be the most powerful hero ever on the planet, now retired (to keep his power-suit from killing him). Anthem would go to him to ask advice, and subsequently you'd have that dramatic moment where Paragon slips on the old armor one last time and goes out to face his oldest friend in combat, knowing that even if he wins he'll likely be genetically damaged from using the suit.

     

     

     

    This one gave me goose bumps thinking how this would work out. I like it and it shows what heroes are really made of.

    I can't understand members who complain that there players are too powerful, too deadly etc, when you start a campaign you should sit down with the players and establish some basic guidelines ie: no killing attacks above 6DCs etc, if the players then produce characters which are clearly in breach of these guidelines then you veto the character.

    if they don't like it, then play something else.

     

     

    Part of it is I have just started playing the game. My group likes the game mechanics and I didn't realise how powerful RKA were that powerful. I pretty much have been only playing this game for 2 months.

  9. Pretty simple what would the rest of your characters do if your character became a villain? Also what would your character, that became a villain, do? Becoming a Villain could be as subtle as Taking over the Earth, Killing every bad guy, just going insane, or becoming a RAMPAGING MONSTER! How does the rest of your team handle this? What happened to your character to become this way?

    do you need both CoH and CoV to play or can you play with just CoV???

     

     

    If you want to play just villains Then you can just buy CoV. It will allow you to play the Villains side. Of course for 20-30 bucks you can get CoH and play Both sides for the same price.

    75% Damage Reduction, only vs STUn from a killing attack rolling a 5+ Stun Multiple

     

    Sure, it's mechanical, but it's a mechanical problem.

     

     

    How much would those 2 be? In points?

  12. I have a guy who only plays characters with RKA. Luckily I limited him to only having a 3d6. Needless to say he got really lucky against a my Arch Villain. Almost took him out with one hit. How do I prevent this from happening? I don't want to have him remake a character but I want to make him tough enough to handle him if he gets lucky again. I just don't want to make him useless.

     

    Pretty much what I am asking is how do you deal with RKA?

    The amusing thing was that the mystical artifact was simply meant to be a quick plot device to empower their opponents. but the PCs devoted so much time into investigating it that it became a major part of the campaign.

     

     

    I just love how simple things can change a plot so easily.

    Stalkers are made for PvP combat. I am already seeing that. I have gone in a few PVP battles and stalkers are king when they get there strike off. The only one I haven't played to much is the Dominators. I have my Brute and Mastermind which are 20+. I have a stalker that just shy of getting into the PvP area. He is only level 13. My main character when CoV goes live will be a Corruptor. I only barely played with it. I really don't want to see how it plays. I just don't like how the Dominator feels. So I haven't played that one to much.

     

    All in all I like it but there will be some balancing after CoV goes live. No where near the scale that CoH had.

    Terra Corp

     

    In my campaign and Webcomic the most powerful Villain

    group is the Terra Corp. They themselves consider

    themselves good guys. Earth Needs protection. It

    will take a heavy hand to protect it. Terra Corp

    motto is "Loyality is NOT an option!" Every Ranking

    Terra Corp'er has a chip attached to them under the

    skin. High Ranking Terra Corp'ers know that the Chip

    is directly attached to your Brain stem. Infomation

    can be downloaded almost instantly from the chip to

    the Brain. The Chips and Terra Corp computers are in

    constant communication, while on Earth. People

    within the Terra Corp call this unit "The Corps".

     

    Photon, corporate owner of the Terra Corp.

    Also possible the most powerful being on Earth.

    Photon originally was 3 brothers. Each with PHD in

    Genetics, Electronics and Computers. Through a Hyper

    Space explosion while a Terra Corp team investigated a

    Space Ship. The Brothers were Merged. After this

    Photon learned he was able to control the very atoms

    itself. His powers range from Teleportation, Creation

    of objects, Energy Blasts, to Force Fields. His

    weakness is he can not effect living matter, other

    then himself. His body speed, strength, and

    resilience has increased drastically. His memory also

    has increased beyond what the 3 brothers had learned.

    (This might be due to the increased infomation that he

    has now.)

     

    Electric Marshal, served on the Los Vegas Police

    Department as Erik Marshal. After losing his arm in the

    Great Invasion. He retired and retreated to his cabin in

    the mountains. Photon, had searched for this man and

    offered him a new arm and power armour to go along

    with it. If he became Chief Operator of the Corps. His

    abilities are ElectricalGeneration (which come from his

    Arm) to the ability to drain speed and strength from

    anyone (which come from his armour). He also has the

    ability to Fly which comes from his armour. He also has

    a hatred for Manchine. Which has not yet been explained.

     

    Power Claw, the only female on the team. Has

    two power gloves which give her Super Strength and

    Claws. She was thrown out of the Marine Corps for

    almost killing her Sergent. Extenuating,

    circumstances allowed her not to be thrown in the

    brig. She is pretty much a bully and knows it. Is

    Terra Corp's best Fighter.

     

    Marksmen, a mercenary Sharpshooter hired by

    Terra Corp and promised an increase in his natural

    abilities. Also the pay raise didn't hurt either.

    Marksmen received a artificial eye. Which would allow

    him to shoot far better then he has before. Pretty

    much if he can see it he can shoot it. Terra Corp,

    also gave him a specialized gun which is linked to his

    eye. The gun itself seems to adapt to whatever

    Marksmen needs.

     

    Chainz, (not shown in webcomic yet) a biker

    looking for bigger and better things. He was

    approached by Photon due to his less then legal

    contacts. Photon offered him a spot in the Terra

    Corp and would back his biker gang with certain

    untracable weapons. Chainz himself has the ability

    to control a chain if he is touching it. Hecan add

    mass to it increasing it length if need be. The chain

    is very strong and can hold several tons of weight.

    Chainz himself is super strong and resistant to most

    forms of physical attacks.

     

    Tank, a tank battlion Commander named,

    Jonathan Grohen. During the Great Invasion he

    lost his arms and legs in an attack. He survived but

    his wife left him due to stress. As he was trying to

    figure out how to commit suicide Terra Corp offered

    him a second chance at life. Photon replaced his

    arms and legs with robotic parts. Also seeing how

    weak minded Tank was Photon created a helment to

    protect his mind from psychic attacks. Tank who is

    now totally devoted to Photon. Is part of the Terra

    Corp.

  16. Re: This week on "Champions"...

     

    The League (my friends finally came up with a super hero group name), faced off against the Trickster. Trickster, pretty much the Joker of my world. He is brain draining all the scientists. A robotic scientist is having a book signing at the mall. The heroes get a report about a costume freak attacking the mall. He of course got away and the heroes failed to stop him from brain draining the scientist.

    I would like the toys to have a attack/speed/body. Is it possible to do it like that and have points to it. I just don't know how to write it up.

     

    Got to remember the disguise part thats a good idea.

  18. I am making up a VILLAIN charater named trickster. He pretty much uses gags and toys to hurt people. I am just not sure how to make some things. Like his 1 foot long minature attack planes. I am trying to think of some other gags and what they could do. Any ideas would be helpful. I have a few but I need more.
