Re: City of Heroes - Online Hero Game I 7 definatly helps the Villain side. The Mayhem Missions for ANY level is just great. Thats probable one of the best things about City of Heroes/Villains. Now that the Villains have caught up to the Heroes. I really do hope heroes do get something new (other then a PvP area) next Issue.

Re: DC versus Marvel: different styles Yeah I know FF and Xmen aren't really characters. People just recognize them as a group instead of Individual characters. How did they get that list? I have asked just regular people and Superman, Spiderman, and Batman are regular people that everyone says. Anything after that is up in the air. When I see a list on here I think popularity. Because being an ICON is only Superman. Its like the American Flag. I don't see any other Comic Character as being Icon. I see some close Batman and Captain America and maybe Spiderman. I don't see none being in Supermans league.

Re: DC versus Marvel: different styles I have to disagree with that. SUPERMAN is first of course. Spiderman comes in a solid Second. Then Batman following closely in third. Xmen is in fourth and Hulk is in fifth. Wonderwoman, FF, and Daredevil are all behind that. In american mythology, the movies catipulted the characters far from those old day myths.

Hero Villain doesnt matter. Who are the top 5 most powerful characters in your Campaign. Give a back story on each of them. What makes them part of the top 5?

Has anyone done a Secret Wars type of adventure in there campaigns. I was thinking about doing something like this but Champions isnt that quick when it comes to combat. I was thinking of how I would run it in Champions. Basic Plot Some other dimension cosmic creature doesnt understand good or evil and wants to see the interactions in a more CONTROLED enviroment. So the Heroes and Villains are brought to the dimension with a world prebuilt for them. I was debating whether or not to have them bring 2 of there characters a piece (6 characters played totally). The rest be NPC's that I control. (18 heroes I would be in control and 19 Villains). Major Fights I was thinking that I would Mark it down per round of who hits who already when it comes to NPC's. I would only DIRECTLY control 4 major Villains. The Heroes could either attack those 4 guys or help the heroes. If the Villains are left alone they attack the heroes of course. Any ideas would be helpful. Including scenrios that could happen during the course of the Secret Wars.

Re: Your personal comic book origins The first Comic Book I remember getting and Reading was GIANT SIZED THOR Comic and GIANT SIZED SPIDERMAN comic. Giant sized Thor was the one where he battled Hercules and Odin took his power from him in mid fight. The Giant Sized Spiderman was the one where Mole Man and a Underground Lady was fighting at the winter olympics. They made Hulk and Spiderman join each others team and played Hockey (With FREAKEN LASER BEAMS). I really didnt start collecting Comics until the 80's. When Secret Wars and Marvel RPG came out.

Re: Patriotic Heroes In my campaign so far there is only 2 Patriotic Heroes. Sonic Soldier, who is a Super Speedster with Sonic Powers to boot. Think of a mix of Flash with Captain America. US Arrow, a Archer with special Arrows he can use. Think Hawkeye or Green Arrow but with a Mix of Captain Atom. On the Villain side we have 1 character that is devoted to the NAZI cause. Panzar Version 2.0, a high tech power suit that fires Missiles and polarized energy blasts. Think War Machine meets Red Skull. There is also another Villain devoted to uniting CHINA under his rule. Of course after China comes the rest of the Earth. Havent really hinted about this guy that much. Cao Cao, a Swordman joined with a Chinese Dragon Spirit. His death, in history, was a Slumber from the Joining. He has been awoken finally and has the powr of the magic of the Dragon and his increased abilities.

Re: DC versus Marvel: different styles The DC titles I am reading right now are Teen Titans (This is the best DC book IMO), Super Girl, JSA, and Flash. If you don't count the Ultimate universe. I read more DC then I do Marvel

Re: DC versus Marvel: different styles When I think of DC I think of Greater Power in general. When I think of Marvel I think of the Average Person becoming so much more. On an Average DC seems to have a Higher Power Scale. I know Marvel FAR more then I know DC. It just seems like you can relate to Marvel Characters better. Which is the reason why I like Marvel more then DC. I am a big Villain Fan. One BIG thing is Marvel Villains seem to be so much more powerful then Marvels Heroes. The DC side its the opposite, the heroes are so much more powerful then the villains.

Re: New Avengers Pretty much what he said. Sure there are holes but I have seen far worse. It holds up decent to what I have expected. The only problem I had was seeing Fury. Forgot he is white.
