  1. It has been stated that when a super pays points to build a weapon he need not pay for weapon familiarity with that weapon. Does it then follow that a character who builds a vehicle with his points does not need to pay for Transportation familiarity to drive that vehicle? Also, if a super built a weapon and called it a Broad Sword, not paying for WF, can he disarm his opponent and take his “Broad Sword†and use it?

  3. I want Malleable Man to be able to move like a slinky. So I take Leaping 10" (10 act pts) Linked to Stretching 12" (60 act pts). Now when I "leap" across the battlefield I have to use my Streaching too. But, how much Streching must I use (and thus how much extra END does the leap cost)? Part II: I have several Martial Arts manuvers too simulate special stretching attacks, like Martial Grab too simulate wrapping my enemy up with my elongated arms. So can I use Linked with the Martial Arts manuvers?

  6. OOPS! I wasn't clear in my first post. In my original post I said, "My Martial Artist is a normal Joe who can summon his Ch'i to become a super. I bought his powers as OIHID (there are no foci involved). There are also no intrinsic changes in his appearance." In other words after his "change" into hero ID, he LOOKS exactly the same. No Hulking-out. My GM thinks you MUST change in some physical way.
  7. Steve, Looked in the FAQ, didn't find my answer there, so... My Martial Artist is a normal Joe who can summon his Ch'i to become a super. I bought his powers as OIHID (there are no foci involved). There are also no intrinsic changes in his appearance. A costume is available, but not nesesary. It takes time, an extra phase, and an EGO roll to accomplish the Ch'i focus. Here's the question; My GM says OIHID doesn't work that way. (and I know "the GM is always right". I've sat in the big chair myself, but...) He says I would have to stop and change cloths to be "in hero ID". I say the cloths don't make the (super)man. I think the key sticking point is the word "form" in the description of OIHID. So, does a charater using OIHID need to change "form" (or cloths) for those powers to work, or is it the effort and time that really matters?
