For someone who has tried and dabbled into HERO, this has been a great thread to read. Over the years I have purchased a lot of Hero books. Ever since I laid eyes on FRED, but never played. Correction I have played in three Hero 6E games at a con, two of which were ruined by Jason Walters. Now that I have a continuing medical issue keeping me off my feet for at least 3 months, I am diving into Hero again. So this thread is helpful and insightful, to me at least. One thing I thought was interesting was, Isn't the HERO System also considered a toolbox for RPG's? That parts of it can also be used in other RPG's? 

Very impressive. One question, Why is it called the United Nations of Sol instead of the United Nations of Terra?

Union Maid is "A member of a wealthy family"? The name seems to conflict with that.

 

A recent thought I had for an organisation: THEM - the Technocratic Human Emancipation Movement.

 

THEM wants to free humanity from the tyranny of corrupt democratic governments, free will, etc, and institute the benevolent rule of wise philosopher kings, aka mad scientists and supervillains.

When I first saw this I thought of THEY. So we can say, " Well that's what THEY say."

          it's part of my name and to differentiate me between all the other green dude's out their.

          AD&D 1st Ed, 1978

• What was the first tabletop RPG you GMed?

          After all this time, none. My wife has been egging me on to do it.

• What are you currently playing/GMing?

I feel ashamed. Until now, I have not heard of Strike Force.

I am wanting to get into Champions and I have played HERO System games a few times at Cons. I own almost all the 6th Edition books and wanted to know, am I understanding that instead of using the 2 volume 6th Ed books I can just use Champions Complete and use that with the Champions sourcebooks?
