Re: 7 heroes summoned through time: who are they? This sounds a lot like the anime series called Fate/Stay Night. Seven magicians summon seven servants who were (or will be) legendary figures in an effort to win the holy grail. They battle each other and the last pair standing gets the grail which will (supposedly) grant the mage and servant each a wish. Part of the mystery of the first part of the show is trying to figure out who a servant really is. Looking through my Champion Universe book, the drawing of Sapphire on page 27 caught my eye. For those of you who do not have a copy of the book, Sapphire is flying up in the air above a burning building - in one arm she is cradling an infant and in the other... well, she's got a hold of a small dog by its collar. The canine has it's tongue hanging out and it looks like it's choking... I can imagine that picture plastered on the front page of newspapers across the country and the uproar that would follow. PETA would form a new branch to deal with superhuman animal cruelty and protest outside Champion headquarters. Some animal based villians (and heroes) would target Sapphire specifically for revenge. Some of the more psychotic villians might vocally applaud this new apparent facet to Sapphire's personality... (Disclaimer: No, I don't really think Sapphire hates puppies, the rendering of the dog just caught my attention for some odd reason. I also happen to think that is the best drawing I have seen in Sapphire in any of the Champions books.)
