  1. Re: Detect Evil in your superhero game...

Now worries GA, Judgment won't be playing with us, he is still holding a grudge, and will be moving away in a few weeks so you won't have to worry about the power. The power shows sins more than evil, and didn't show times, if a man committed a violent crime sometime in his past it would still register, it was built more to show true evil things, like demons and devils, and darkshards. The curse (what he called it) was more that then anything, he saw the evil of mankind, not evil it's self. Great character concept, I'll take most of the credit thank you =) but like I said, he won't be playing anywho.

    -T

  2. Here is the basic power concept.

When he runs his density increases, I'm thinking +1 level of DI for ever 4 active points of running.

Then absorb PD, running - as he takes damage he moves faster, as he moves faster he becomes more dense.

When he is standing still he goes desolid, so he must be moving to have a physical presence in this world.

    How would you do it?

    6th ED please.

    Thanks!

  3. Re: Changing your Multipower

This was the exact same point I made to Goldenage, in private message, that sparked this topic. We have decided for our game that we will stick to cannon rules, but I personally like the idea of building your powers like that in a MP. Who cares if the players have a few more points to spend on skills or contacts Or other powers! :-)

If I can change it more than once per phase, what is to prevent the following situation :

I am DEX 30, Speed 6. My opponent is DEX 28, speed 6.

    I have a 60 AP multipower with 2 slots

    Slot 1 is a 12D6 Energy Blast

    Slot 2 is a 30/30 force field

On any given phase (assuming nobody was holding) I will go first, as I have the higher DEX.

So I set my multipower to Energy blast and shoot my opponent. Then I switch my multipower to forcefield. Then my opponent gets his phase.

If you say that attacking my opponent ends my phase, therefore I can't switch to forcefield, how about we make the other slot something like 30" of flight instead. I switch to flight, go 15", then switch again to blast and attack. Effectively I get 120 points worth of powers used in a phase for just 72 points (disregarding limitations)

  4. I run a character named Stardiver in Goldenage's Epic City game. He is a Nova Corps type galactic cop stuck on earth. He has Green Lanter type powers (a huge 240 multipower with TK, Flight, Force Field, Force Walls, and Images) The character requires a bit of balancing to be used properly. In the last game we played the Aion Bands (bracers) that house the AI and power that he channels showed him an image of the cops from his home world. They were "creating" personal space craft. As it is right now, he spreads his TK to the party with a small amount of force fields (usable on others) to keep the wind off of them, and flight to get them around the city/world. I would like to see what you guys/gals think is the best way to create this spaceship, the idea is that I am part of the ship, but the rest of the group can be inside of it walking around and holding a conversation while being taxied around by myself. I have the EXP to spend and as long as the power is not too crazy (crazier then the character already is) I can build it. I'm thinking it needs to be some kind of non transparent force wall that is contoured to the design of the ship, with some kind of life support built in. Any ideas, anything like this been done before? Should I just buy a spaceship?

    Thanks in advance!

  5. Hi all, I am running an epic fantasy game at a private con the week after next, and I was wondering if anyone had write ups for a few of the characters I am using. My list looks like this;

    Elric of Melniboné

    Roland Deschain

    Conan the Barbarian

    Raistlin Majere

    Corum Jhaelen Irsei

    Allanon (sword of shannara)

    Krull (Prince Colwyn)

They will all be in the 600 point range (I understand that for some of them this doesn't make sense, krull?!)

    Thanks in advance.

  6. I am building a Green Lantern clone, and wanted to see how other people did it, it's a 350ish character. I have seen Susanos, which is a little beefy, point wise but I was able to work with it, I will post my original design tonight, in the mean time I would love to see what you have done.

    Thanks

  7. Re: "Never Miss" powers

Goldenage told me that once the flash was in a movie theater, he was shot in the back of the head, when he felt the bullet touch the back of his skull he moved out of the way :)

Sorry I know that has nothing to do with anything other than reinstating how much the flash rocks!

Also I "really" like the +1DCV per point rolled, this is a great idea, if I could, I would rep.

  8. Re: Let's get Ready To Rumble! (help)

If you are going to make all of the characters you might want to tone it back down to the 350 point range. It's no longer a contest of who can make the best character, so swing it to be, who can play *this* character the best. Just an idea, that would makes things a lot easier for you :)

  9. Re: Armored Suit

    It's bulletproof' date=' too. :D[/quote']

When my nos tank caught fire and blew up in my car, then the fire department flooded my car the only survivor was my 5th edition book, I'm serious, as GA.

  10. Re: Block - Usable at range?

You're a genius. Stretching' date=' does not cross intervening space does the trick nicely, I believe.[/quote']

Would the shield not cross the intervening space tho? It needs to get from point A to point B and can't do so if there is a wall there.

  11. Re: Armored Suit

Which would make sense if it was a secret ID. I kinda like the concept.

Sorry but I kind of see this as huge abuse of the rules...If this was true every hero would be bough multiform, one form as his normal person (250 points worth of skill, contacts, perks etc.) and then the super hero 250 points of stats and powers. I think there is a better way of doing this, I just don't know what it is yet. You also have to remember, spider-man is a contact of Tony Stark, but not of Iron Mans? That doesn't work really. I mean I guess you could keep some of the perks and skills across all of the forms but that kind of makes this idea useless.

    Does that make sense?
