I don't get it. Drain is 10 per d6. Suppress is 5 per d6. Drain is no range. Suppress is ranged. Drain fades 5 per turn. Suppress, though it costs endurance to maintain, does not fade. Why is drain worth it?

My character, a 'superscientist', has a VPP for gadgets, and another for drugs. In the gadgets one, I want to have 'spider mines'. These spider mines are radio controlled and walk to a certain location, and then conceal themselves. When they detect motion within a certain distance, they explode. Alternatively, they can be made to explode by means of the radio control. They should be about 6 inches tall. They can climb walls and ceilings as long as it is a malleable/rough surface or metallic. So... indirect energy blast with trigger? Or Summon an Automaton? What say you?

That's part of it. Due to the 60 active point limit in our game, I can only use 40 STR on the AoE grab. I want to switch to grabbing a single target so I can use all 60 STR. 1. Do I need to make an attack roll to switch? 2. If I fail the attack roll, is the target free of the grab, or is he still in the 40 STR AoE grab?

Hydra has 12 tentacles with streching 12". He has 60 strength, and a naked advantage of AOE 1 hex useable on up to 40 strength. His nemesis, Cancer, has a DCV of 10 Can he make a grab against Cancer with a DCV 3 hex attack at 40 STR, and then next phase, constrict that grip to an attack against DCV 5? Does he have to use other tentacles to do it, or can he just use the same one? If he fails to constrict the grab, is Cancer free of the grab? While I'm at it, if Hydra sweep grabs against Cancer and his 6 mooks and manages to snare all of them with AOE Hex attacks, can he sweep grab with his normal grab the next round to constrict the grip on each of them?
