  1. Simply put, it's a superheros game with mutant powers, hyper-tech, and magic. I'm leaving it up to the others to handle powers and tech, but I'm building a character who uses magic to help people who have been harmed by magic. Banish demons, lift curses, break fae bargains, that sort of thing. He has simple quick-cast spells for combat too, but I don't really need help building a Blast. The kind of restorative magic I have in mind isn't meant for combat, and it would only work against magical effects. So we still have to subdue the Beastman somehow, but then I can step in and restore his stolen humanity. If your fancy costume comes from magic, and you feel like standing around for 20 minutes while I do a ritual, yeah I can turn it back into bluejeans, but if that's a costume you put on with super-speed, or a suit on nano-tech that can change at will... I got nothing. My goal is to be able to fix any sort of bad magical thing that happens to a person, short of death. (at that point the "fix" tends to be worse than the problem...) Does that help?
  2. I'm trying to build a comprehensive spell to reverse transformations. Would Healing the targets Body do the trick? What about victims of a Soul or Mental Transform? Would it just be easier (or even legal) to build a Transform that reverses other Transforms? Any help would be appreciated.
  3. I'm a little puzzled by the split between people who think it's abusively over-powered, and the people who think it's too limited to be playable. But, the general consensus seems to be that while the idea is cute for a comic book character, it doesn't work as a PC. A lot of good points were brought up, and you've all given me some very chewy food for thought. Back to the drawing-board I go. Thanks everyone!
  4. My group is making superheros with 300 points. So here's the idea. My characters regular ID is a physically weak bookworm. However, when he falls asleep, his super-powered dream self flies free of his body and goes around punishing evil. Here's a first draft of the power. Any constructive feedback or ideas would be welcome. Dream Form: Duplication (creates 300-point form), Easy Recombination (Zero-Phase Action at Full DCV), Ranged Recombination (+1/2), Altered Duplicates (100%; +1), MegaScale (1m = 1,000 km; +1 3/4*) (297 Active Points); Concentration, Must Concentrate throughout use of Constant Power (0 DCV; Character is totally unaware of nearby events; -1 1/2) Real Cost = 119 Basically the character would go into a 0 DCV sleep-like trance, and the duplicate pops out. The moment the character "wakes up" his duplicate would instantly recombine, wherever he was and whatever he was doing.
  5. I'm trying to build a Teleport that works against others as a means of attack. I hope you can clear up a few questions, as I can't seem to find the FAQ. Question 1. Can I use a Teleport with "Usable As Attack" and no safeguards (like "Safe Blind Teleport" and "Safe Aquatic Teleport") to intentionally teleport bad-guys into bodies of water or solid objects to do damage to them? Question 2. Can this Teleport be used to make enemies in motion run into things if it lacks "No Relative Velocity". Question 3. If I buy "Position Shift", can I use it to make targets prone when they reappear? If so, would any relative velocity they have then be directed at the ground?
