  1. Hi guys, I'm writing up another power and I'm wondering if it is a Power Skill or power unto itself. I'll explain.... Imagine Mage A wants to cast a spell...he has gestures and incantations, it takes him a full phase say something like, "little girls are made of spice, little boys and puppy dog tail, etc, etc, ad naeusim" for and example. Same Mage A again in a life and death situation, want to get his spell off, so he shortens it to "little girls and boys" for example and the spell goes off, not as powerful mind you, but it does the trick for him in that pinch. So my question to all you guys and girls out there is how do you write this beastie up. Is it a power skill, is it a power onto itself, since it is esscense the same spell, just that the casting time is shortened and the overall effect is reduced in accordance. So I could really use the help writing this up. Thanks in advance
  2. Re: Need Advice Thanks Derek your the best. Would you mind helping me with a few more issues, if you wouldn't mind. ?
  3. Re: Need Advice Basically, I don't want it to be an attack, but they can move through an object/person/material based on their active points, but if they don't have enough AP they can't go through it.
  4. Hi guys, I have a questions and I need all your expert advice. I want to develop a power using desolid but I want it to be affected by the body or the defense of material or of a creature or person. So in esscense I want the person using the power to have to overcome the body or defense of the person they are going through. But I'm uncertain on how to write it up. Could you all give me some advice on this. I'm good at coming up with concepts but putting it down in game terms I really suck at. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hi everyone, I am trying to write up a power in which a combatant when they reach zero Body will trigger a heal and then duplication and create six duplicates in 1/2 phase. Tell me what you think and help me rewrite the power if necessary. Phoenix Unity Style: (Total: 169 Active Cost, 125 Real Cost) Healing BODY, STUN, END 5d6, Trigger (Activating the Trigger requires a Zero Phase Action, when 0 Body Occurs, Trigger requires a Turn or more to reset, Character does not control activation of personal Trigger; +1/4), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (87 Active Points); Extra Time (Delayed Phase, Only to Activate, -1/4) (Real Cost: 70) plus Duplication (creates 6 200-point Duplicates), Cannot Recombine (+0), Rapid Duplication (can create 6 Duplicates per Half Phase) (+1/2) (82 Active Points); Linked (Healing; -1/2) (Real Cost: 55) Thanks to everyone in advance.
  6. I was wondering if anyone...and this sounds kind of morbid had the idea to write up Death, the Grim Reaper and how this being would be written up. Could use the help and thanks in advance.
  7. I need a little help writing up this power, so I am wondering if any of you kind people will be willing to help me. What i want to create is a sword that has an end reserve but also has a EB say such as SFX fireball. I want the wielder to be able to put all the points in the end reserve into the EB if they want to and drain the end reserve completely. I am wondering how I would write this one up with advantages and limitations. Thanks for all the help in advance.
  8. I'm creating a character and one of the powers I want to give him is the ability to fight in the air as if it was on solid ground. I really could use the help with this one. Thanks in advance
  9. Re: How do you write up this power So, what your saying is a VPP that is a mimicry pool, that is linked to a end reserve that requires RsR. How do I get by the the pool points so that the player can dump the end reserve into the VPP do get the number of dice they want to roll for the power/attack/effect? Thanks in advance.
  10. Re: How do you write up this power Actually, have the ability within the AoE to turn off the powers of opponents, to increase strength, endurance, speed, to stop kinetic attacks, or to redirect an opponents attack back against them, running along the wall, etc. The powers effect would be only effective for maybe three to four consecutive phases. Thanks in advance.
  11. Re: How do you write up this power Actually what I was thinking was similar to what was seen in the movie the "Matrix" and I was wondering if anyone can give me a sample write up of what the power would look like, using the specs I listed previously. Thanks in advance.
  12. Re: How do you write up this power RSR ?, I am not familiar with that term. Could you possibly elaborate? Thanks
  13. I need alittle help writing up this power or variable power pool with the necessary limitations on it. In essence what I would like to write up is a power pool that has the ability to distort reality, but base it on an end reserve that the player can dump if they want all the end in the reserve or as little as they want into the variable power for either a high dice or low dice roll, but the activation roll is based on a ego roll and the difficulty goes up correspondingly the more they end that they use to have more dice in the roll either for damage or effect. It would be an area effect in which the reality would be distorted and would last for three to four consecutive phases only. I would really appreciate the help if any of your more knowledgeable guys or gals can give me a hand with this, thanks in advance
  14. Re: Bleach-anime I'm running a game on it, and was wondering if anyone in this forum had run a similar game and if so had any characters or templates they made up. The second thing is how would you write up Shikai and Bankai?
  15. Is anyone in this forum familiar with or have seen the anime Bleach by any chance.
  16. Re: Bleach-anime got it thanks Sorry about the interuption
  17. I don't know if this is the proper forum but I'm wondering if anyone has seen the anime called Bleach. I apologize ahead of time if this is not the proper forum, before I pose my question
  18. Would the ability of a character to see ghost or spirits which are normally invisible be a enhanced perception of a different sense all together and how would you write it up? Thanks in advance
  19. Re: When should Always On be used thanks, it did
  20. I'm a little fuzz on the disad Always On and what power should it be applied to if any. Could someone clear this up for me. Thanks P.S. Also the disad In Heroic ID Thanks again
  21. I am currently running a game based on the popular anime and manga Bleach and I am having a little trouble writing up a power. The primary weapon in the anime is a sword which the main characters and secondary characters use for attack and defense. The sword has the ability to transform and grant the wielder a whole new set of attacks and abilities plus the old ones on top of it. I'm wondering if I should use mutliple multipowers to represent the transformation of the sword an abilities. Should I have the pc have a multiform in which this new sword shape is the primary weapon. Should I have the sword as a follower and treat it as such, with its own multiform. I'm alittle confused on the issue and I could really use some input on this power. Thanks in advance.
  22. I'm using 4th ed. rules (can't afford 5th ed yet) and I was just wondering if it possible to add a computer to a suit of powered armor, which would take over when the operator became unconscious, and how it be written up. Really could use the help. Thanks in advance.
  23. I have a player who is playing a mentalist and has reduce his strength to zero to gleen more points for powers. Reviewing the champions handbook, I compared a small child also with a strength of zero. It just doesn't make sense to me that a full grown adult with a strength of zero can move easily about without any impairments as a child with a strength of zero. If we look at real world examples a person weighing let's say 200kg has a difficult time moving, and can move with the aid of devices if they are lucky, but not at a remarkable rate of speed which is 6" inches/turn usually. Would it be reasonable to assume that in order to lift something in this game, you would also have to be able to move your own body mass to do anything. So a character with a strength of zero as an adult would have to lift let's say 45kg as their own weight to be able to move properly, but a strength of zero in this case would not suffice because you can only lift 25kg with a strength of zero and thus you would be impaired and would have difficulty moving about. I would really like opinions from you guys, since I am at a lose on how to rule this ?
  24. I want to create an item that will suppress a characters ego while that item is in the characters possession and if the character attempts to throw it away it will return to them via teleportation or some other method. I need help writing up and also just wondering if this item can be just given to the character or does the character have to spend character points for it, or is it a disadv, or just given to the character without effecting either character points or disadv. in the first place. Thanks in advance for all the wonderful help you guys have given me in the past, present and future:)
