  1. Okay, I'll g with the obvious.

USPD has a whole section on luck themed superpowers.

The one that sticks in my mind is

8d6 eb, fully indirect, causes minor damage to local property

A corner of a building just happens to collapse on your opponent. A car slips out of gear and rolls to strike your opponent. Etc.

  2. You Are One Sick Indivdual.

    I love the twist. :)

I do disagree that he will ever be released. The father of one of his victims has repeatedly stated that he will kill/ have killed, Charles Manson if he is ever released. And yes, he knows he'll wind up in jail if it happens.

the scene where he's sitting at the fire with the Vikings and listening

to them speak in their language for a few minutes before talking to

    them in the same language.

    Space Cadet

The way I did it for a character who is a ligusitic savant (modeled on that) was:

Universal translator, extra time (1 minute, -1 1/2), Limited power (verbal only, -1), Concentration, must concentrate thru out (1/2 DCV, -1/2)

And yes, I'll probably submit it if it hasn't already been done.

  4. I don't see aproblem with it. Just remember, it will put the healer on top of the "take down" list next to the mentalist.

Also, in the minds of the public, if a character can heal in combat, obviously he can heal out of combat also. "Mr. hero, I have this terrible bunjun." " My wife is dying of cancer, could help her?"

"My dughter..." "I..." "could you help..."

The hero would be as overwhelm as Jesus was if his healing powers were confirmed. People would be flocking to him expecting miracles. Then there are those who will try and prove him a fraud, or attack him for various reasons.

All in all, it might help in combat, but it would be a pain outside of it so he probably wouldn't do it very often.

(I'm just reminded of the scene in the Matrix Reloaded, where Neo steps off the elevator and all those people are waiting for him.I'm glad I'm not in his shoes.

Well, the Mentor is a Mentalist. So she actually does hear the bear talk to her. :) She also is sppoiled and doesn't like to be told NO.

  6. Villian Slush

One villian I've though up but haven't done any stat work on is Poltergeist.

A ten year old girl with Teke powers under control of an evil mentor.

The twist, she doesn't think she is the one with powers. It's her stuffed bear, Mr. Bear, that has them.

Her Quote? "Mr. Bear says you've been bad and need to be punished."

If you take her bear from her be prepared for a NCC EB, AE'R, Megascale, Penetrating, and low str tK to bring the bear back to her. (Of course the bear rescues itself.)

  7. QOTW

This just happened tonight in my B5 hero game. A character who could fly spacecraft had just crashed a small anti-grav hoversled, twice. The Engineer of the group, who can't leave anything mechanical alone wanted him to fly the one still operating some more so she could figure out how it worked.

The quote, by the engineer, during this exchange, "I promise it won't crash again." To the pilot!

That sounds like the most elegant use to me. Plus, since it is in a VPP, He can modify the robots between summonings, to have different abilities.
