Hans was dying. He knew it.
He did not want to die, Not someone as powerful as him.
He did not deserve death.
So he planned.
He built.
He researched.
He studied.
He succeeded.
Once it was finished he sat in the target chair. He smiled to himself and awaited his rebirth. The machine began, it inserted its nuero-needles into Hans. Hans screamed but did not move. This was planned.
Then the Computer began uploading Hans. Draining from his every last bit of Intelligence, Wit, Wisdom and Charisma.
The banks and banks of memory grew hot as it pulsed with millions upon millions of terabytes that made Hans who Hans was.
Then the computer started downloading. The metal shell that would Serve as the new Hans Dunver opened its eyes.
Personality.
Hans is a super-genius, he is also a humanitarian, a hero and a legend. But he was disgusted with the notion that if he died, al of his knowledge would be lost. So he spent the last 20 years of his life building a new body. a robotic one.
Hans is exactly as he was in life, except maybe a bit more reckless, Because even if his new robot body is destroyed, he has his personality backed up on his mainframe.
Now that he has finished his goal, Hans has exploded back onto the hero scene.
No-one knows that Hans is actually a robot now, they all think he's just developed a new power-suit.
Powers.
Build 1 of two ways.
A power suit hero with a Resurrection (does not work if someone destorys mainframe)
OR
A mainframe with a powerful summon.
Next Name.

So I used the random her name generator Badger kindly linked to. I entered in my parameters hit the 'go' button and it spewed a few random nonsensical names at me, including 'Slicing Kill'.
But one name did stand out as being possibly cool.
So, without further ado, I present
Death Panther.
Mittens was a normal little kitty.
He had a home.
He had a loving family.
He even had a pink collar with little bells and his name on it.
But that would change one day. Mittens was exploring his neibourhood, enjoying the sights, smells and sounds when he saw a strand of shiny wiggly silver string. Overcome with curiosity Mittens pounced on it.
Suddenly his mind was overcome with memories and thoughts. Mittens howled out his confusion and pain. He felt his body changing, getting larger and more dense. He could feel his bones lengthening and changing. he howled again but it came out as a scream, a scream that was far too human.
He awoke to pain, confusion and rage. He got up and stumbled home. The night air felt cool on his ravaged body. As he climbed over his fence, which was far smaller then he remembered, he noticed that his house was dark. He figured this was because the family was asleep. quietly he tried to enter his catdoor. But all he could get through was his head, He was stuck! He started meowing to draw attention to his plight. The sound of boots on the floor made him look around just in time to see a long metal rod swinging towards his face.
He awoke again, the pain was still there, so was the confusion. the rage was there as well, but it had been refined.
Someone had attacked him in his house...

SOMEONE had attacked him in HIS house!..
SOMEONE had ATTACKED him in HIS house!!.
SOMEONE had ATTACKED him in HIS HOUSE!!!
Mittens lashed out with his claws, he felt them scrape against glass. He opened his eyes. Blinding light flooded them, but as his eyes adjusted he could see he was in a room. A room full of white, steel and men in white coats. On one wall was a large green symbol. But more importantly he was inside a tube.
Mittens howled his rage. The Tube reverberated to his anger.
He struck and struck and struck the glass, but it would not yield. Mittens howled again.
One of the men in the coats grinned and said something to another. Mittens felt a sharp stab of electricity in head. Too late he realized they had attached something to his head. Mittens suddenly had his mind bombarded with images, noises, memories and feelings again. But this time, he did not pass out. As an intelligence spawned inside his mind, His feline nature lashed out. The human intelligence tried to break free, but it was overwhelmed and subdued by the feline inside. Mittens took everything that intelligence had and discarded the rest.
Mittens understood now.
Mittens knew who to hate.
Mittens knew how to get out.
Mittens knew what to do...
Mittens stood staring at his reflection in the shallow pool. The image staring back tinted red by the viscous pool. The flames bathing him in a ruddy glow. the occasional crash making his ears twitch.
Mittens knew how VIPER had made people suffer...
Mittens knew how Viper had made him suffer...
Mittens knew how VIPER had made his family suffer...
Viper would never make anyone suffer again, Not if Mittens could stop it.
Mittens became Death Panther.
Personality:
Mittens is a cat who absorbed the intelligence of a head VIPER scientist.
he is still coming to terms with what he is and who he was. But he's still a kitten inside.
Playful and inquisitive, Mittens will fight to the death to protect those who care for him, He is loyal, affectionate and friendly. But he also has a dark side.
As a result of the incidents surrounding his creation, Mittens has an almost limitless reserve of rage and hate. luckily this has locked onto two targets.
VIPER and people who hurt cats,
Powers.
Mittens is much stronger then the average human, has super-human reflexes, Catlike sensory abilities, Genius level intelligence and a in-depth knowledge of VIPER technology, especially pertaining to Gene manipulation.
He has also begun learning some tiger style Kung Fu and has looted more than his fair share of VIPER weaponry.
Appearance.
Mittens was a small tortoise shell kitty with a pink collar.
Now, he is a BIG tortoise shell anthromorph wearing black cargo pants, A combat vest, some VIPER tech and a Blue Collar.

I've seen alot of people trying to define 'Four-Colour' here.
I'm sticking with my idea.
1: Good is good, bad is bad.
2: Bad guys will never win.
3: Any hero who does kill someone, will invariably become a villain/vigilante.
4: Everyone is stupid... So very stupid.
5: Its boring... As the proverbial Mammalian Feces.

The PC's are around the 400 mark. Active point limit of 80.
Most DC's in one attack is Thain, who can get to 24. (Pushed, Offensive strike hammer.)
Is it an actual Full on write-up. Because Taipan seemed to be like Dr Yin Wu.
Alluded to in MANY books but never actually written up. Very Irritating.
I've built a Taipan and Yin Wu from scratch. (Taipan Works for Yin Wu. in my setting.)
Ah... The joy of seeing the PC's expressions when I said "Right, Phase 1. My Action..."

This Campaign may be starting up again. So I thought I'd revive this thread with a few more developments.
So when i left the PC's, They'd just discovered an open hellgate.
Whats gonna happen when they head through? Well, A few demons will spring out and attack. I'm thinking a couple of 300 Points Brick Demons, a 400 point Controller and a 350 point summoner (Summons somewhere between 10-30 150 points 'Souls')
I want the group suitably warned that Hell ain't no cakewalk. Hopefully they'll win but suffer a bit of damage. That way they'll pull back. Dr Yin Wu will finally get back to them and try to explain a bit.
But of course, They'll probaly keep trudging on through Hell.
I'll run them into a few different encounters to keep them on their toes.
Combats, Rescue attempts and a few traps.
Either way, I'm gonna get them back home. a few days after the first gate opens, they'll get reports of more opening up around America in places of importance. I'm gonna do a bit more background research and figure out a general theme of connection for these places. Hopefully they'll figure it out.
Once they figure it out, They should try and head out to stop a gate from being opened. This should let them fight a few cult members trying to raise the gate. My PC's are all non-killers, So they will capture some of them. This will let me disturb them with the cultist's suicide trigger.
This will also allow the Players to start making their various knowledge rolls.
Conspiracies are fun. This one will consist of Thain's Brother, Takofanes, Hell and maybe the crowns of Krim.
More later.
Also, would it be Bad to put up a Write-up of Taipan, Cause as far as I know there isn't one.

The hollows from bleach are definately seeming an easy fit into the rokugan taint system.

Okay, sorry about the lack of updates. But Exams meant I lost 75% of my player base.
I've been amusing myself by helping various players rethink/build characters and planning my storylines.
I also downloaded a bunch of Final Fantasy music to use during my game.
I also contemplated starting to read/watch Bleach... Ya know. Since 2 of my players are playing Bleach-esque characters anyway...

Okay, I've decided I WILL play the stranger. He'll be fufilling 'the speaker' role.
But after creating his 'speaker' powers, I'me left with a rather sizeable chunk of points... I have an idea that will in fact be rather cool. I just need some suggestions on how to build it.
I want 'The stranger' to have a combat pool of abilities that enhance, inhibit and affect other characters. Such as OCV increases, PD/ED, MD, PowD and such...
I don't actually see him participating very well in combat except with a range of 'crowd control' abilities, (force walls, Entangles and a Mental Flash)

The Scorpion has a 30 Point Pool of Drains all with gradual effect, NND and requires target take a point of body from his 'Scorpion Tail' attack.
The Sorcerer has a 30/15 VPP with the requires skill roll and reduced time.
Can only create magical effects and always subject to GM approval.
Currentely He's using it for Armour and a FF. Relying on his 15 point 'Maho' MPP for its Con, Body, PD, ED and Str drains.
I'm not quite used to such low point characters as this is my first game run below 200 points. Plus with a mostly New player base Alot of teh characters aren't built as efficientely as I'd Like. But We're getting there.

Heh, Well, My current resource books are Ninja Hero AND the ultimate martial artist.
The small group recentely investigated a town that was behind on its taxes. After discovering a happy productive community that had only suffered a hill collapses they set about trying to find anything of interest...
One kidnapped sorcerer and a ritual of sacrifice interrupted at the last moment the group destroy their first Taint Relic and have made an enemy of a 250 point shadow ninja.
Yay!
Edit: Oh, and the entire town was slaughtered while they were away. Now they've got to get away!
