Steve, if a character has desolidifcation, but it is turned off at the moment. He also has an "Enraged in Combat" disad as described on 5E 217. When combat breaks out, he rolls and goes enraged and begins attacking. Can he activate his Desol or would that be considered "defending himself"?

Thanks as always.
