Genetic Offspring and Manipulation

I am working on a new PC who is the result of genetic manipulation and combination of the DNA from two known villains. She isn't a clone, she's a genetically modified test-tube baby grown in a surrogate mother. The genetic materials used were gained from Cheshire Cat and Mentalla.

My PC's name is Tiger-Eye, a name I found on the list of 8000+ names found in a thread on this genre board... handy tool, that. :) She is a Martial Artist, with limited Teleport and Mental power. Because she is a PC for a global campaign, she has 375 points, plus a 40 point UNIT 1 package. Disads are set at 150 + 40 from the package. Total of 415 points.

Has anyone else every combined 2 or more superbeings to create a character for Champions? I know that Marvel and DC have their Amalgrams(sp?), but has anyone here ever done it? If so, please share what you came up with.

Thanks,

Mags

Tiger-Eye's Background:

Sandra Li grew up in a Hong Kong orphanage after being abandoned there one winter night in 1983. When it became clear that this Anglo Saxon (caucasian) baby's family could not be found, the nuns gave her a western-sounding name (after the American actress, Sandra Dee) and raised her along with the many other unwanted children given to their care.

As Sandra grew older, she was bullied incessantly by the other children who found Sandra so different from themselves. One of the nuns took pity on the blond child and taught her the Win Chung form of Kung Fu, so Sandra could protect herself. Sandra learned quickly, almost as if the powerful maneuvers were ingrained into her being. She was graceful, strong, and very fast, and the other children soon learned to respect Sandra. They stopped picking on her. Soon after, Sandra began protecting these same children of the orphanage from bullies on the outside and she gained a even more respect and love from her new family.

Only Sandra knows exactly when her mysterious, super-human powers developed, as she kept them to herself for many years. But there came a time when the nuns noticed and, soon after that, the local government. The Chinese Government assigned Winter Dragon of the Tiger Squad to assess Sandra's capabilities and a detailed file was kept on the child.

In 1997, right after Hond Kong was returned to China rule, a 15 year old (aproximately, since no one knows her real birthdate) Sandra was handed over to government keeping and she was housed in one of the many Tiger Squad bases, this one near Shanghai. Her training continued and when Sandra turned 18, she joined the elite group of Chinese superheroes with the codename Tiger-Eye. Her unique fighting style, backed up by her mysterious mix of teleportation and mental powers, gave her an edge in fighting crime throughout China. However, the shame of not having a family history, lineage, and of even of not being of the Chinese race, weighed heavily on the assignments she was chosen for. So when UNTIL contacted the Chinese Government regarding recruits for UNIT 1, Tiger-Eye was the first of their national super-heroes to be offered up.

Sandra Li, aka Tiger-Eye, went gladly- happy that she could finally do honor to her country, while learning more about a brave new world.

SECRET BACKGROUND DETAILS

(Unknown even to Sandra Li)

Created in a test tube, in a secret lab just outside of Hong Kong, Sandra Li is really the genetically-spliced and manipulated offspring between Cheshire Cat of GRAB and Mentalla of Eurostar. The scientist, a Dr. Lo Yang, was funded for genetic testing and experiments by a rich and powerful benefactor, who wasn't keeping too close a tab on Yang's work (it was a long-term project). Yang had several side-projects, to which he syphoned a good deal of the gifted monies. Genetic material from Mentalla, Tesseract, Cheshire Cat and the late Pantera were gained only at great cost... had he tried to acquire genetic material from Chinese heroes, he could've been killed as a traitor to his country should his work be discovered... but he'd show them! His research was valid and more importantly, it worked! These children were not clones, but the actual offspring of super beings with combined DNA, brought to term in surrogate mothers of Chinese descent, all of whom never saw the children they bore. After some initial failure, two girls and a boy were created, but Yang wouldn't know true success until the children were older. Time would only tell what wonders he created in his lab. He sent the boy to an orphanage north of Beijing, one girl to an orphanage in Hong Kong, and the last child, another girl, to live with his youngest sister in Nepal.

Unfortunately, Dr. Yang would never live to see them grow up. His benefactor had discovered that funds were being stolen by Dr. Yang and that the intended research had been lax. He sent agents to shut down the lab, confiscate all the research materials and to kill Dr. Yang.

Subsequently, the benefactor (perhaps Teleios) found out too late that there were three, living, genetic experiments out there in the world, but he had no clue how to find them. Considering his own interest in genetics, finding these children were added to his agenda, and though they are low on the list of priorities, he is still watchful.

Notes

Child #1 A boy, combined genetics of Cheshire Cat and Pantera. The young man was adopted by a rich military family in Russia. His name is Uri

Child #2 A girl, combined genetics of Cheshire Cat and Mentalla. Sandra Li, my PC.

Child #3 A girl, combined genetics of Cheshire Cat and Tesseract. Living in Nepal with her mother, Dr. Yang's youngest sister. Her name is Anna

While the ladies' genetic material was gathered by hair and skin samples, the actual seed of Robert Johanssen, aka Cheshire Cat, was gained when the playboy went in for a vasectomy. He said to the doctor, "Knock me out, dammit!" and was under during the procedure so he is fully unaware that any semen was collected (yeah, what a wuss).

I'm still fine tuning the points spent (and I need to add the UNIT 1 package), but I will post this PC when she is done.

There have been a number of discussions around this topic, for Champions Universe characters, those from the main comic companies, and campaign originals, ranging from serious to silly - even a few writeups. Here's a sampling:
