If you aren't a GM and your GM frequents the board. Leave now.

If you are a GM continue on and read this adventure idea and use it as needed.

You will need to have the Viper: Coils of the Serpent book for half of this to make sense. If you are not in MC, just change the locations around to fit. If you don't have another superhero team in the area, just ignore the background information. If Viper doesn't need recon information on your superhero team, feel free to give them experimental weapon systems to field test. They are, after all, trying to test a bank security system to see if the system works for future bank heists.

Viper Bank Sting

Viper has suspected for some time that someone in their Albany Viper Nest is turning over information to UNTIL. Now, they believe the person is William Benton. The issues looked like they began about three weeks after William Benton’s brother was used as an example in Milwaukee for what happens to people who fail. Plus, Benton worked with Viper’s communications systems and would easily be able to relay information without being observed.

Viper has a plan, they will give false information that is normally kept confidential in the hopes that Benton will turn it over to UNTIL. The information will be that one of the New York City’s Major Nests is located beneath Yankee Stadium. The nest size is large enough that UNTIL would not be capable of dealing with this alone and would likely call in The Champions from Millennium City to assist.

This would leave Millennium City open for an operation without their interference. And with a new team in the area, what a perfect opportunity to test out their capabilities. The Greene Scales & Gauges Nest has been waiting for the perfect chance to try out their new bank robbery method and three birds could be killed at the exact same time.

Nine months ago, The Greene Scales & Gauges Nest had successfully robbed the bank at First American Bank. The security consultant for the bank, Isaac Richardson pointed to a flaw in the banks surveillance system. Unbeknownst to the bank, Isaac was also a Viper agent and the new system was a crucial element for a second robbery. The replacement security system used a gamma imaging system and allowed recordings to provide more of a precise detail for those viewing it. What the bank did not know is that the gamma imaging system also picked up keystrokes for every transaction tellers made. With a special, hidden program in the internal bank server, every account number that had been accessed in the last nine months was stored in an encrypted data file.

A viper team needed to be dispatched to escort Jennifer Drake, a Viper Sergeant and computer specialist. As all information was readily available thanks to Isaac Richardson, all Drake needed to do is crack the internal server root password and launch a special program. Each account would be automatically accessed one at a time and the balance would be transferred to a Viper bank account in Zurich.

The squadron to be dispatched, would consist of a Communications Specialist who would sit at the Starbucks across the street and report all outside activity. The Lieutenant for the squadron is a Scarlet Serpent with previous training in Heavy Weapons. Two Viper, Elites would act as the front protection with their Heavy Weapon and Superhuman Combat Specializations. Three Viper, Basics would deal with keeping secondary entrances and exits secure.

Lieutenant: Scarlet Serpent & Heavy Weapons [Professional]

Sergeant: Computer Specialist [Company Man]

Elite(1): Communications Specialist [Guy with Big Plans]

Elite(2): Superhuman Combat Specializations [bubba]

Elite(3): Heavy Weapons [Destructor Man]

Basics 1-3: Standard Package [Kid] [Toadie] [Three Times Loser]

Jennifer Drake will not participate in combat so long as her computer is operational. At the start of combat, the computer system has already claimed $125,000 in accounts. For every segment that the computer remains in operation roll 3d6. Viper has gained the face of the dice times 100 that round. If any of the dice have the same number, increase the amount gained by 1000%. So the roll of a 1, 3, and 6 would mean Viper gained $1,000 that segment. A roll of 5, 5, and 5 would mean Viper gained $150,000. Also, on rounds where Jennifer acts, she can make a Cryptography roll to find a hidden account worth $100,000.

The amount gained is important, because Jennifer has been ordered to activate a special program once $1,000,000 has been transferred that will transmit the rest of the accounts to the Communications Specialist and then destroy all data on the computer. This will make it impossible for investigators to determine how the accounts were revealed and give an Infiltration Specialist an opportunity to transfer the larger accounts of the course of months to Viper before this weakness has been noticed.

Should the action fail, the Communication Specialist will report the results and return to the Nest for debriefing without the rest of the squad. He will, however, have a broadcast stream of the fight with information on the superheroes who interfered.
