Hawksmoor
I am toying with developing a character that can boost the processing power of computers (ie increase INT as an AID). The problem is I see this power as existing in a MP with other computer affecting powers like Mind Control and Mental Illusions. The question is would lingering allow me to keep the AIDed Characteristic points from going away whenever I shifted the MP to a new slot? Blue Jogger
Re: AID and Lingering So long as the AID isn't used to boost another characteristic (through its variable advantage), the effects of the AID last until they naturally wear off even if you shift your multipower to another power (although it probably shouldn't be another AID). The same with mental powers, you can't keep spending END to maintain them at full, but it lasts until the victim breaks out of it.
Blackjack
Re: AID and Lingering According to FREd (pg 74): "When a character buys an Adjustment power through a (Framework), if he switches the Framework to another power, the boosted (or reduced) Characteristic or Power fades at the standard rate; it does not dissipate immediately." Hope that helps!
Hawksmoor
Re: AID and Lingering D'oh! I could have sworn the rules said they fade instantly. Thanks. Hawksmoor
