Rerednaw
Death from Above (DFA) has a 25 STR and 15 points in Leaping (15") DFA leaps 20" laterally (his full leap) and targets Big Bad Evil Guy (BBEG). Now, does he make 2 attack rolls or one? Without accurate power modifier, does DFA have to: 1) target hex (DCV 3, -6 OCV for range) 2) make move through attack roll on BBEG at -V/5 => -20"/5 = -4 OCV? Or because the BBEG is in his target hex does he only need to make one attack roll (the one to resolve the Move Through against BBEG)? Oh and happy holidays everyone! Cheers. TheEmerged
Re: Leaping plus Move Through? I've always ruled that if you're attempting a v/3 or v/5 manuever against a person with Superleap, the leaping roll is against the DCV of the victim not the hex. lemming
Re: Leaping plus Move Through? I think the old days were you had to hit the hex with your leap (At whatever range mods. 20" would be -6 at the old -1/3" if he's at max range (and -6 for new fangled range...). And then you did your attack against the target based on velocity. In this case -4. By my reading, it's the same case under 5th edition. Of course if you have the Accurate modifier (+5 pnts) on your leaping, you wouldn't have to roll to hit the target hex.
