Re: Shapeshifter character name needed

Okay' date=' out of curiosity, why do you do the "< B R > < B R>" at the end, when it doesn't show up? Is that a inside joke, does it stand for something, did you not notice it wasn't showing up, something else?I've just been curious because I see it on my notifications and it's still there when I quote you, but it doesn't show up on the threads.[/quote']It's HTML code for "linebreak". I do it to insert some space between my post and signature. Just for the appearance of the post, nothing more. No Secret Squirrel societies involved. :)

Re: Shapeshifter character name needed

In keeping with my principle of not announcing your powers to the villain when you introduce yourself, and assuming that a shapeshifter is going to be able to soak a lot of physical damage but probably isn't so good against energy attacks, I'd call him:

THE AMAZING ENERGY ABSORBER

so no one bothers using energy attacks against him, or possibly

DOCTOR MENTO, for the same reason but with mind control and so on.

If you want him to be an anti-drug campaigner then you could call him:

THE ASTONISHING-DON'T-DO-DRUGS-OR-YOU'LL-END-UP-LOOKING-LIKE-THIS, KIDS!! (shifts into weird, twisted freak). Bit of a mouthful, but he's a shapeshifter: his mouth can be as big as he likes.

If you want a real shapeshifter name that won't necessarily be obvious to everyone (well, no one else suggested it) you could try PROTEUS. He's a Greek sea-god with the ability to - get this - change his shape at will! And people can shout, "Protect us, Proteus...hey that's almost a rhyme!". Well, the really stupid ones can, anyway.

Check it out...

If you don't like Proetus you can use Protean, but that is an adjective, so I wouldn't recommend it. People could get hurt. :uranus:

I've used Proteus before and all I got was, "What? Of Borg?", so you should be safe.
