MitchellS
Re: Weapon Name for Champions character? quite different : "restrainable" : the power can be neutralized by (by default) a combat maneuver or a attack targeted at the manifestation of the power. as such it's like a OAF one's cannot take away from you "restrainable" : can be targeted in combat, cannot be taken from you "OIF" : cannot be targeted in combat but can be taken from you out of combat. I don't really agree but let's wait for other opinions. I think we have a lot of differing opinions here. Restrainable means the power will stop working if the character is grabbed, entangled, or otherwise restained in some fashion. So with the weapon if you grab him, hit him with an entangle, or use a weapon bind maneuver the powers will not function. In effect it's an OIF which can't be taken away. That's what I'm looking for here. Your wing example is bad because it's the example they use in the book. The fact that the wings are invisible has no bearing on whether or not they can be stopped with an entangle or grab.

ghost-angel
Re: Weapon Name for Champions character? I have no problem with the Retrainable Invisible power. As long as you know what manifests the Power you may use that to prevent the Power from Manifesting - Staff, Ring, Olmec Head, whatever... Though, I'm not sure a Personal Focus wouldn't be a better choice for this build. It's essentially the same thing but fits the description better, I think at least. As for Armor in an EC, it fits the concept rather nicely, and neatly places the Power of the Staff with the others. I'd allow it.
