Extra Time

Suppose that as a Limitation, you want to make the activation of a defensive power take a Half-Phase action (instead of a Zero-Phase action). I would assume that this would be an Extra Time limitation, but I don't see this option anywhere on the list.

If this is a viable limitation, please tell me what it's worth. If it is already in the book, please tell me where I can find it.

Thanks!

Re: Extra Time

I checked the book, and there's simply no listing for that Limitation. It goes straight from Zero Phase to Delayed Phase to Extra Segment.

I suggest just taking it as a Delayed Phase.

But if you DO use it, call it a -1/4 Limitation, Takes Half-Phase Action.

That's generally not going to be much of a Lim, but if you want to use it -1/4 is pretty clearly the value.

Re: Extra Time

I'd be inclined to srart with the premise that Extra Time assumes a half phase is the default, and allow that moving a zero phase action to a half phase action is a -1/2 limitation. Since your defensive power will only require extra time to turn it on, that's halved and becomes -1/4.

If you wanted it to take a full phase to activate, that would be a -1/2 limit for "0 phase to 1/2 phase", and a further -1/2 for "half phase to full phase", all halved back to -1/2 because it's "only to activate".
