ParitySoul
I had a killer idea for a super setting, but I need some feedback and idea material for Superhero Baby Names or childhood nicknames. Something from a society where ultra powerful people are more accepted than in the Marvel setting, but not as demi-goddish as in DC. Ideas? Kirby
Re: Superhero Baby Names. Is there a reason names like Tom, Dick, and Harry won't work? Or are you looking for something like Invisible Infant, Tornado Toddler? Or, something more akin to "Camp Fire" and when he grows up, he'll be "Bonfire!" and "Intern Wrecker" who grows up to be "Dr. Destroyer"? ParitySoul
Re: Superhero Baby Names. Sorry, the culture would allow for normal names, but it is generaly considered old hat. Supernames are more common and I'm looking for a naming structure in a society of media darlings.
casualplayer
Re: Superhero Baby Names. Do you mean a lot of kids named Victor or Victoria? Caesar? Brutus? Gaius? Maximus? Apollo? Gabriel? Metraton? Angela? Pharaoh? Moses? Samson? I may not get the point. Most names are derived from heroes that lived so long ago that we don't remember the original hero. Robert the Bruce? Charles Magnus? Bodicaea? (sp?) Phoebe? Athena?
